With less than a month before Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMix's release in North America, Square-Enix and Disney decided to treat a handful of lucky fans to a very special treat. On December 1st (one day before the official release), a private showcase will be held at the Walt Disney Studio Lot in Burbank, CA. Tickets will only be given by invitation. The event will be held at two different time slots, the first one being from 2:30PM-5:30PM, with the next one being from 6:30PM-9:30PM, and will include a new trailer (KH3?), allow fans to purchase the remaster a day early along with other KH merchandise, and the chance to meet with unannounced special guests. As part of her 15th anniversary celebration, Utada Hikaru will put out two major releases: a cover collaboration album featuring various artists as well as a collection of singles from her career. Both albums will release in Japan on December 9th, though no official tracklisting has been revealed just yet.

While Utada has contributed two fantastic songs to the Kingdom Hearts series, Hikari/Simple & Clean and Passion/Sanctuary, shortly after the release of Kingdom Hearts II she seemed to have severed her contract with Disney, much to our dismay. Utada Hikaru's upcoming albums, however, will feature art by none other than Tetsuya Nomura! Nothing has been officially announced, but this seems like a great way to tease Utada's return to the Kingdom Hearts series. Will we see a new, original song of hers for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III? Might they use a previously released track of hers that has yet to appear in the game (my bid is on Heart Station)? What's in it?

• Shadow Heartless Plush Toy - 9.4 inch tall plush of the classic KINGDOM HEARTS foe
• Collector’s Edition Box
• 30-Page Art Book and Dust Jacket – This art book includes an exclusive foreword and a sketch from Nomura, along with art from the series.
• Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Game Discs
  Collector’s Steelbook Case – The steelbook case contains both KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 ReMIX and KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.5 ReMIX discs and features premium artwork from the series Director, Tetsuya Nomura.
• Exclusive Official Disney Collectible Pin- Features Sora and Mickey Mouse back to back, with the iconic keyblade with Mickey dangler. Made out of a soft enamel coating on metal, this pin’s height stretches out to 1.68 inches.

Please do note that this episode was recorded this past Sunday, so we do not cover the recent announcement of Marvel's Phase 3 movies, which include a Black Panther and a Captain Marvel movie. As such, one of our major topics of discussion -- the diversity, or lack thereof, in Marvel movies -- is altered, but it's a good listen all the same!

Don't worry, it's nothing too fancy!

Over the next few days we'll be doing some upgrades to our server setup. Because we're such a large site, we run an add-on called Enhanced Search that allows our database to be searched far more efficiently than the standard site search. Those who were on the site before we had Enhanced Search will well remember how searching was near impossible, so we're glad to have this addition! This server maintenance will free up some of the resources used by Enhanced Search (it's a rather intensive add-on) by running it on its own dedicated server. We've noticed the site does get sluggish during the late night / early morning. Hopefully this maintenance will alleviate some of those issues.

So what does this mean for you guys? Very little! Following said maintenance, the site search will function the same as before, and you should expect little to no interruption to the site during this time. If anything, the search might be out of commission for a little while.
