Well... you basicly re-write the japanese script into english so the mouths move when their talking.

Masking is where you cut out a certain part of the clip, like this (the result is in the preview box).

But Vegas Movie Studio (the cheaper one .__.) still has cookie cutter effects, which is prettymuch the same thing just in preset circles, squares, etc. ...

If you are getting Vegas then get the Platimun Edition which is a better verison of Movie Studio with more effects and some more features like more tracks. It cost like 150, I think.

 

I have Vegas 7.0. ^^

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot about Platinum XDD It's $130 at Target I think.
