I'm thinking of getting the new Higurashi game from them, but I dunno if it's a safe place to buy DX It seems like it is though, and I've been told it's fine...Plus a bunch of people here have purchased KH2FM+ and RE:CoM, Crisis Core, etc. from there...

Yeah, hopefully. I'd really like to have this game...From the looks of it it's somewhat a port of the PS2 game Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Matsuri with some extras like another story arc, etc. ...It's all Japanese of course and requires a lot of reading (A lot is an understatement, it's a visual novel so that's literally ALL you do...XD), But it looks like it has some voiceovers and I can understand a fair amount of spoken Japanese. I'm teaching myself how to read/speak anyway so perhaps it'd help. I can't believe I like this series enough to even consider importing this game. >>;

DX Gah, I'll shut up now. I have become obsessed with Higurashi lately. It began as a counterweight to my .hack obsession but it kinda backfired....Don't mind me...o.o;...

 

well, obsesion much? learning a language for this game, seems a bit much....

 

Actually, I didn't learn it for the game, nor am I doing it just for the game now...To be honest I started so I could play Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, but as I've become less interested in KH and more interested in Japanese culture in general, I've come to just want to learn the language. I learned what I know through some books and watching anime in almost all of my spare time to the point where I recognized common words/phrases and the subtitles that matched them.

I'm at the point where I can translate a lot of conversations at least well enough to get a basic understanding of what they're talking about, but that's prettymuch it. DX

I recommend Death Note, .hack//SIGN, or Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Although that last one is severely twisted, it's a good show otherwise. Death Note might be a little on that side as well. >>;

PSHH, What's wrong with Death Note? It can't be that it's popular, seeing as Naruto and Bleach are rediculously popular. Death Note is one of those few shows that deserves all the hype it's getting. Bleach and Naruto are NOT. They're good shows but they've been beaten to death with fillers.

Personally I think Higurashi and its equally amazing sequel thus far, Umineko no Naku Koro ni, deserves WAY more attention overseas. They're popular in Japan, and rightly so, but not really over here.

I cannot wait to get a hold of that visual novel game btw. <3333 But the fact that it's rated D (Japanese equivalent of M) worries me a bit. Higurashi is violent but it's only rated 16+ over here DX. I suppose it could be because C (15+) is too low and they don't have a rating for sixteen and up, just seventeen.

...And wtf, I'm fourteen. But I WANT IT.
