A Youtube channel known as Impact recently started. It has a few movies clips, but it's main feature is that it has a full-length film known as "American Dragons." That is currently the only movie they have, but they're library will soon increase. They also have an interesting feature that let's you turn the "lights" on and off. The channel specializes in action films. Link to Impact Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Impact Link to American Dragons film (Rated R): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWAXvTI9aw4
Well, YouTube has had full-length films before this, they were just split up into several different parts. But they were still full-length films. This is just the first one that is just one whole film in only one part.
Mind if I ask a n00by question here? How are these people even able to host videos that are over 10 minutes long? I forget how. Anyway, On topic. This sounds pretty cool, it'll probably attract more visitors to the site.
You can only do it if you are a partner or if you made your account before they put in the limit. In any case, what does this say about their all-powerful and sacred copyright rules? Could this be a baby step back to sanity?
The Youtube channel I linked is made the account as a result of being a channel on TV and already have permission to destribute the film.
Ah, really? That's cool. And if they're an actual channel on TV like someone mentioned, that means they won't get tied up in all of Youtube's copyright crap. I might actually go watch movies on there. I'll have to see what they have, though.
This video is 20 minutes long: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iv0IJJ_G36g I wonder what the requirements are to submit videos over 10 minutes.
He's a partner. You can tell by the banner ad above the description. I don't exactly know when they stopped allowing normal accounts post over 10 minutes, but if you made your account before that, you can also post over 10 minute videos. Those are the ONLY 2 ways.
