Honestly, I agree. this happened to me just about a few days ago, those of you who looked at my AMV thread in the Spam Zone would know; Lately I made a new AMV, not any amv a birthday AMV and not just that my first FMA AMV & I think it was the hardest I've ever worked on one.

This time I actually got it completed, because those of you who know me know that; I tend to lose motivation half way through, now. This song I used was near exactly the same as another one on youtube, I had taken copyright issues into consideration before I started so I adjusted the song as well as the pitch of the song to make sure I wouldn't get hit by copyright.

2 days after the upload; I get a copyright strike, my 4th one in total out of my whole channels time on youtube Luckily I only upload once every year half the time, but yeah. I had really took everything into consideration even going ahead to litter he description in anti-infringement statements and paragraphs about copyright law. In the end It got taken down which got me pretty upset because I worked really hard on it.

Youtube needs to get their **** together, that's all I'm saying.

Yeah, this is really hurting the Video Editing community, and people are up and leaving. I personally have not been affected... I got a copyright claim because one of my videos is banned in... Antarctica... but that is the extent of it. I am probably just lucky, or they haven't found me yet. Meanwhile there are people who have lost their entire channels because of this. People who just do this for fun, they aren't gaining profit at all and they aren't asking for profit.

I don't know why youtube has decided to start cracking down after all these years, I mean, the editing community has been expecting this to happen for a while... but we were never expecting reviewers to get affected by it. There is this strange Weenoo(I think it is called) movement going on, and I am confused by it because that site is going to get into some serious crud if they get caught.

Yeah... There's been over 100 videos banned per account in some places. It's popping up all over. I honestly feel bad for the people who are depending this as work. The people who quit their jobs and spent years working on this, who spent all their time and effort and energy working on this. This is really hurting them, and it'll continue that way if this continues. It's hard to go into the job market right now without having four years without a part of your resume except: "edited and made reviews/lets plays/videos".

I really resent the people who say: "Well, this is just a hobby, you can do a 40 hour/week and still make videos once a week on top of it." Not really, not with what these reviewers push themselves through every week to do so. And if they don't, they lose fans over it because they take too long. I've heard complaints about slower reviewers not making the videos fast enough. Hell, one guy made a 10 minute rant about a side project on his show that people were harassing him non-stop about it despite the fact he made it clear several times he did it when he had time, and when he did, it took him months to make it because of all the work it took. That's not a "hobby".[DOUBLEPOST=1387416640][/DOUBLEPOST]Great... They just flagged a video that was a game MADE by the person who posted it. THE DIRECTOR OF THE VIDEO GAME, SHOWING GAMEPLAY.

I'm posting again in this thread just to say; My copyright counter notification worked, most likely a bot had blocked my video over similar parts of the song because of that it blocked the video. It's pretty annoying but it gives a solution to unblocking videos if you're the uploader
