My face when reading it online translated:

Very interesting, great dialogue, a little different than whats in the game, but still, nice version, but maybe a little too dark, I don't like Kingdom Hearts being too dark, I mean, after all, its Kingdom Hearts

Cheesy dialogue, even more cheesy than in the game, Kingdom Hearts should not be too dark, but this is just taking away from the awesomeness as the fan translated version.

Wow I'm a hypocrite.

I kinda like the books. I don't like how they skip some stuff, but I guess that's what you get. I've got the first 2.

 

So I was reading the KH Chain of Memories manga.

And then they talked about warm elixirs
And I shuddered

 

I thought the manga was good. It was exciting and hilarious

At least the manga's aren't afraid to say "die" in them, in the COM game, at least they weren't worried about saying "die" either, for some odd reason, I don't understand why KH and KHII are so afraid of saying "die" it makes no sense

 

I actually thought that was interesting that they had Axel say "die". The first time I heard it I was like "Die? Why would they try and kill him?"

 

Well thats kind of the whole point of the series, some villains want to use Sora, some just want him dead. I just think its stupid that they have to say "destroy" like if kids here "die" than their minds will become corrupt to think of something disturbing, which is ******ed.

But seriously, the manga is awesome. I own all of them up to KHII vol. 2 I love reading them. But I wish I could get the next one:(:(

 

I think I own KHII Vol. 1 but I'm not sure. But I've never found any volume anywhere past 1. How many of them are there supposed to be?

I personally thought they were good.
They weren't copies of the games, they were telling the story in it's own way, and I liked how true the gameplay it was. The dialogue wasn't the best, but I enjoyed the artwork good enough.

They're just so funny, haha. They do the seriousness well too, but I love how lighthearted they are.

 

oh yeah, funny is definately true. Like with the Riku-replica in the story, that's just funny. I love when he wakes up in the bonuses and see the piece of meat and then he gets followed by someone, I can't remember if it was Vexen clones or something else.
But here's what I want to know, why is it that we see more technology in the book than the games? And where did the computers come from? Maybe they just were there when Aqua made C.O., I don't know, but I just found it interesting that those were there. I remember playing the game the first time and when I saw it was just one room with a crystal ball I was disappointed, because I actually wanted to see a room full of computers

 

I hope you realize this is extremely hypocritical.

I didn't mind the manga too much. Wasn't great but it was somewhat useful for reviewing plots and stuff before the next game came out.
Gives the basic plot, at least.
Shame Tokyopop dropped it though.
