The worst way to sing, is to imitate others.
You have to be yourself tbh.
its the same with scremaing too :)
use your voice no-one elses :)
i used to have lessons but i quit cos they annoyed me lol :)
but yeah s'the best advice i have. :)
oh and when you sing the letter "i" make sure it doesnt sound like you put a "h" in front of it.
and also doesnt sing with yr mouth to closed or with gritted teeth, but don't have yr mouth like a black hole though :)

and if the note is really really high, squeeze yr bum cheeks together lmfao.

I went to the doctor to see about my voice on Tuesday because I was supposed to be going on a course Today. I have a problem with my vocal cords. When I sing, the don't touch properly and this has caused a crack in the middle of my range. It isn't breaking but I cannot sing at all untilI get it fixed and it has had a more thorough analasys. I am also not allowed to (as far as possible) Cough, Shout Or whisper (which surprised me because apparently whispering for one minute is about as bad as shouting for 10). So, no recording until around May-ish.

Dude...that sucks. I feel you, a blood vessel on one of my vocal chords ruptured back in my senior year when i was in 3 choirs and 2 musicals. I was unable to talk for 3 months, all the while feeling like someone was poking me in the throat.

Not really the same, but I understand the inability to sing.

like i said, it was just a constant pressure, like you have someone pressing the finger into the back of your throat.

Didn't 'hurt' till then stuck a camera down my nose to see into my throat. I NEVER want to experience that again.

Singing is fun!

I wish so much that I could record myself performing one of the most wonderfully enchanting ballads. But sadly, I must hold back this violent urge! For, if I were to post it, and you were to click the link, and then you decided to sit back, and relax, closing your eyes in anticipation of my sweet melody... alas, you would be disappointed. Your ears would begin to bleed. :(
