    A good strategical advantage is to have your Pokemon know 4 moves of different types.

    For instance, Empoleon can/should know Earthquake, Surf, Iron Tail/any other iron move, and an Ice move like Ice Beam or Blizzard.

    Try and expand your pokemon's types.

    Just thought I'd help out.

    In double battles, Luxray, Lanturn, and Raichu know Discharge so they can activate Volt Absorb and Motor Drive.

    Balance is the key. Always build a team that coves each others weaknesses. If ur using a team thats alll one type, use something that can cover your weaknesses (ex: Lanturn, part water type part electric type. Great on an electric team to cover the ground weakness and provide rain dance support so Thunder gets 100% accuracy.)
