(I wasn't sure if this should go under movies or music so I just went with movies >>).

But yeah, basically what the title says. What are some of your favorite film/TV/anime/whatnot scores and/or composers?

[Please note, 'score' refers only to the orchestral compositions from the film, not lyrical music produced by artists independent to the production team]

    Some of my favorite scores:
    North & South (BBC series)
    The Piano
    Jurassic Park
    Crimson Tides
    Pirates of the Caribbean
    Madagascar
Gundam SEED/SEED Destiny (select tracks, but a LOT of select tracks)
    Buso Renkin (select tracks)
    When They Cry (select tracks)
    Infinite Ryvius
    Samurai Champloo
    Battle Royale
    Pride and Prejudice
    The Lord of the Rings
Star Wars (Select tracks -- tbh some of it is a bit TOO dramatic for my tastes!)
    Babe
    Death Note
Umineko no Naku Koro ni (select tracks)

And a few composers off the top of my head: Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer, Klaus Badelt, Toshihiko Sahashi and of course John Williams xD.

I really love Danny Elfman's Serenada Schizophrana compositions, but I don't think they were used in that many movies. I haven't see any of them. :/

Other than that, the Brideshead Revisited soundtrack is quite gorgeous, especially the track Sebastian. The Science of Sleep's soundtrack isn't that great alone, but the way some of the piano compositions were used (I think the best one was Stephanie Visite Apartment?) was beautiful.

Those I play over and over again while I'm working on the comp.

The Departed is one I've really liked lately. Howard Shore is amazing.

asdfghjkl; this to a million. I recently listened to this & fell in love with it. I still have to see the movie though, lol. It looks really amazing.

Also, the Wristcutters: A Love Story soundtrack. The original compositions are amazing. <3

It is such an adorable movie. :3 I haven't listened to the soundtrack, though. I'll have to do that. <: The movie has an unexpected amount of sexual scenes in it. They're funny, though.

Also, I'd like to add Alice in Wonderland to my list. :'D
