Bella stood in the hallway in Anna's house, outside the room Anna and Matthew were in. She didn't want to intrude on anything. She couldn't imagine how Matt felt.

 

"u can come in" Matt said to her

Bella eased the door open, pearing around the corner into the room. "How is she?"

 

"same" he said eyes red from crying

 

Bella's heart tightened and she stumbled into the room, falling into a seat next to him. She swallowed hard, squeezing his hand. "There's always something...always something we can do...we can handle this, matt."

 

"I'm not so sure...I have never felt this helpless"

 

"You don't need to worry. Anna will get better and everything will change. You just need to have hope."
