I am not trying to offend anyone, this is just MY opinion for one thing, and I don't any smart mouths giving me a piece of their mind, but, I have a feeling that the War on Terror is more about Jeurasalem than it is oil and all the crap they're talking about. Why? New York City has a large population of Jews and whites, and OBVIOUSLY to me the Middle Eastern people hate whites and Jews, so that was a great excuse for them to do the attack on 9/11. Unless it was the government, that's all I'm going to say.
I can't really remember much now, but, if the US weren't keeping those people under control, they would have destroyed the Jewish race with any given chance. Now, the reason, I won't say because this is just a 'mild' discussion, no flame wars. And if you've noticed as well...well, thank you.

Well its already known that the war is not only about Oil, but also about finding certain people on blacklists, bringing democracy to the middle east, and etc. And New York city has many whites and jews, but as the starting point for immigrants from other countries, it doesnt have the highest concentration of them. Also, Middle eastern people dont hate whites and jews. First of all, the terrorists groups and such are the ones that hold the most grudges. Secondly, they hate AMERICANS, not just whites and jews. You should study up a little before you make these proclamations that middle eastern people hate jews and whites. Many people here that are middle eastern could find that offensive.

Um, I stated that in my paragraph hon, and it was not meant to offend anyone as I said. Yes, I know I need to study more, I also said that - I think.
And it WAS my opinion, so, whatever. Let's just hope no idiots come in here trying to find a lame excuse to hate on Christians. >_>

The War on Terror is on a variety of things and well...yes, part of the terrorists' issues are pertaining to Israel and this has been the case for a while. The brewing tensions between the Jews and Palestinians has been gruesome for some time and with how foolish people of both sides are over there, we may see it get worse before it gets better still. Also, the hatred of Americans is because we do tend to side with the Israelites more than we do with the Palestinians and we've given them a lot of military items. They do get away with too much in my opinion and if American political figures were stronger with them, well, things might tone down more. However, it doesn't look likely to happen.

I won't say it is more strongly just because of this that the terrorists and other middle eastern Muslims can't stand Americans, but you are right that it is definitely one of the reasons we have problems working with the Middle East as effectively as we may want to. There is a lot of bad blood that even goes back well before America was founded in dealing with the Europeans so I could agree some issues are also there by racism too. There have been many wars involving the Christians and Muslims as well which when we coin it to race, the Christians were mainly Caucasian.

No problem. I do think you are right to point it out. A lot of people really do not know some of the reasons for tensions in the Middle East and how much Europe and the U.S. have been involved.

On an interesting note, I saw a trailer for a new movie when I went to see Beowulf 3d yesterday. It was probably exaggerated but at the same time, goes into explaining about why the U.S. went in to aid Afghanistan against the USSR, giving them weapons and such, which did help turn the Cold War more in our favor and also the after effects of that time event did in fact cause some turmoil with relations because the U.S. backed out sooner than the Afghanistan people wanted after that point. Of interest to note, I am not sure whether the movie will have Osama Bin Laden in it, but he was one of the people that was there in the past and was at one time an ally.
