My ex-boyfriend was like this. I would tell him that I needed peace and quiet for a while so I wouldn't be replying for a while. Then he would text me obsessively until I replied, to the point where he said "Why don't you love me anymore?" At that point I just wanted to shoot him

 

I usually don't tell them that I'm going to block them, but sometimes I will just be like "I need some peace" and most of them don't notice. Like this guy. O_O
My other friend I specifically asked her NOT to contact me for a while and I got that back. So I blocked her. She texts me obsessively as well espeecially when drunk and she complains about me not inviting her to places where either: a) I don't want her there because she'll cause a scene or b) I'm not the one doing the inviting and I don't want to be rude.

So yeah, I have my reasons for blocking people and I have my reasons for either telling them or not telling them.

 

Well then, just ignore them

 

Oh I don't mind you raving to me about your boyfriend as much as you think. Sure, it's a litte annoying and makes me feel oh so very lonely because I have nobody with whom to share a love as pure as yours, but I can still listen.
But now that I know I'm one of the blocked, I can start playing my Humble Bundle games without fear of interruption. YAY!

Maybe your friend is just lonely and sees you as a real friend. You're the only person your friend trusts. They try to not get on your nerve, but it goes against their nature. They try to change to make you ahoy, but their instincts tell them to do something else. /totallynotgoingthroughsomethingsimilarandventing

 

Maybe, but they both know that sometimes I just need some time out and besides, they've both said some hurtful things in the past so even though I've said to them that I have other things going on at different times.
They're still my friends, they're just doing my head in a bit right now.
