You know what sucks?

When you're reading all this cool stuff about radioactivity and realize that if radioactive materials emit heat while they decay, you could put a bunch of an extremely radioactive material in water, which would make the water evaporate and turn a turbine, converting that heat energy into kinetic energy, which could then be converted into electrical energy!

And then, after drawing up all these really nice plans and figuring out how to make it all safe, you realize that you've just reinvented the nuclear reactor.

 

Oh, my answer was going to be a leech, but I guess that works too

 

I have some reservations about someone designing a nuclear reactor on a whim.

 

My answer would've been a vacuum. Aw darn lol.

I didn't know that it was a nuclear reactor until I was finished. All that work, only to realize that it's been being used by governments for years.

 

This is when you invent time travel so you can travel back to before the nuclear reactor and then invent it yourself : D
