You know this website has it's priorities right

I still say it's an all or nothing part of the forum, either properly censor every single word people could find offensive, or ditch the thing entirely, we're not children after all, anyone who has access to this site has access to facebook and youtube, sites that much more frequent foul language and no censor filter.

I'm just calling things as I see them. As I've said before, Vivi probably isn't the asshole that I think he is, but I'm basing what I think of him on how he treats me, not anybody else. Anyway, let's get back on topic here. Why in the world is "*******" censored? I'd understand if it was just "ass," but come on! And why would you censor "*******" and not "ass" anyway?

The only problem with the Facebook comparison is that its clear that most of the population on there is Mid-Teens and up since they're all forced to register to use it. We don't really know who or what age group visits KHV and lurks as guests, and it'd be laME for some kid to get barred by their parents from looking at the sure because of a thread named blowjob or something like that.

Adding censors seems to be better i guess, even though I could see how it'd suck and some things can get caught (Dick Cheney, pussy cat and so on). Though everyone knows how to get by it and does use it responsibly. Most of the time at least.

Censorship honestly just seems like a bad idea for a forum in my opinion. I constantly see people just bypass it anyway, myself included. And the age requirement for Facebook? You do know how many people fake their age on the internet, right?

But it's not a serious matter to me, so I don't mind that much. Just giving my $.02

 

Maybe when you quit making displays like these and actually make a serious discussion it'd be easier to treat you like adults. Of you can continue the discussion here, but don't expect to see changes because this can be seen as sort of insulting.

If you notice a problem in the site or some incongruence between member enjoyment and rules, that's great that you want to talk about it because as staff, we really can't be aware of everything as much as we'd like to. But just know that with all that snark, we won't get anywhere (or would you like to be snarked at to do something you weren't even aware was a problem?)

I have a hard time believing this observation comes from a good place, and if it doesn't that's fine. We'll ignore it as just spam in the SpamZone. But I think that wasn't the intention?

In the meantime, don't make posts bypassing the censor just to bypass it. There will be no leeway for your shenanigans should you choose to continue. You're well aware it is against the rules and the point can be made without breaking said rules.

But I will say to everyone in general that we probably won't get rid of the word censor any time soon, but we'll definitely look over it to add/subtract some of the missed and more debatable ones.


Again the Suggestions forum is probably better for bringing up these things since the SpamZone can get a bit silly and it'd be harder to wade through serious suggestions and joke ones, but thanks nonetheless for bringing it up!

 

I do find it funny how much people complain about features on KHV, but post about it in the Spam Zone.
