So, at the university campus, there's a Taco Bell at the food court. I would go there just about every day when I had class because it was cheap and I really like how the food tastes. Now, when you have something over and over again, you tend to get kind of sick of it. That happened to me.

Now, it's summer vacation and there's no food at home. The closest restaurant is a McDonald's, which is a half-mile away. And I'm craving Taco Bell!

I'll never take you for granted again Taco Bell!

For the past few Summers my friends and I have subsided on Taco Bell and pretty much nothing else. I feel your pain, brother.

The only error I see is summer being capitalized. Everything else is fine.

Shiiiiiite. I thought "subside" and "subsist" were synonyms until you pointed that out. Life is a lie.[DOUBLEPOST=1400111345][/DOUBLEPOST]
Should "summer" not be capitalized? God fukkin' damn, man. This is why I'm not a humanities major.

Nope. Seasons aren't capitalized. Months and days are, but not seasons.

English. Jesus Christ, I understand why no one wants to learn this ridiculous language. Mandarin makes way more sense.

Dude, Mandarin to English translation is a pain in the ass, but after having studied both pretty thoroughly, I've come to the conclusion that it's because the English language is all kinds of fuccking stupid. Mandarin grammar is so much more logical.

Taco Bell isn't that great, in my experience. I ate one taco salad, and I get really sick off of it. I lived on water for about 2 or 3 days. Haven't looked at it since.

It's simpler grammatically, which makes it easy to learn how to speak if you can pronounce it, which is a really big if for people who come to it later in life. But that's where the plusses for Chinese in general end as far as I'm concerned. The writing system is pretty bad because it's not a syllabary or alphabet which means that you don't have a small number of sound associated symbols from which you construct anything you want even gibberish words. No, instead you have an out of date system that has more in common with hieroglyphics than anything else. So you have to remember a few tens of thousands of more symbols to say the same things. Personally, I think that makes Chinese a bad language for the modern era.

Also, dude, I didn't know you studied the language of my people's oppressors.

I'm not really a big fan of tacos and stuff to begin with. I've yet to eat a taco that didn't make me regret eating it. And since that incident, I can't really look at Taco Bell without war flashbacks.

Nah, I totally agree. I studied it for a year at university and I was fine when it came to pronunciation and spoken vocabulary. The writing system is outdated as shiit. They should adopt the Romanization system as their own, to be honest. It makes things so much more logical. I'm so sorry that I supported your oppressors. </3

I do hope you'll try a taco again, at a much more well-regarded establishment. Dunno what actually-Mexican restaurants you have where you live.

    Reference points:
    1. Taco Bell is pretty quality for the price and tastes damn good, but you can tell while you're eating it that it's garbage.
    2. Chipotle costs like 5x as much but the burrito you get is the size of an infant and all the ingredients taste really quality.
