You cant hide forever

"Because,"He said "I didnt want you to come with me....Im glad you didnt....If you knew what I'd done.....you wouldnt be standing there...."he muttered"if you knew what they trained us for..."

 

"I don't care what they wanted you to do!" Tears finally started to fall down her face, what was left of her already dishevelled make up running even more. As she felt the damp warmth of tears stream over her cheeks she looked down at the ground. Her voice dropping into a quiet, sad whisper. "I just wanted you..."

 

"I thought I was doing the right thing by leaving you behind.....it hurt me to do it...but I did because I thought it was right...I didnt want you involved in what I was getting into...."he sighed"wish I had stayed now..."

 

"It's easy for you to say that now..." She said quickly trying to wipe her face. "You promised you wouldn't leave me... You promised..."

 

"I never was good at keeping promises....but this one I swear to god I'll keep....Im never going back..."

 

"I can't trust you any more..." She said, folding her arms quickly and turning away from him slightly.

 

his shoulders sagged slightly"Fine...I understand....I'll...just go back to my parent's house then....say bye....might as well go back to the company now..."he said turning away muttering "Knew I should never have come back here..."

 

Hermia stifled a quiet sob. Part of her wanted to throw herself at him and beg him to stay, the other part reminding her of the years of stewing over broken promises and how alone he'd left her. How she'd gone from having everything she'd ever wanted to being totally devastated.

 

He climbed back on the motorbike and glanced behind him,before sighing I did this...

 

She looked over at him on the bike, she watched him for what felt like an eternity. It was within those few moments she decided she couldn't survive seeing him drive off again, being without out him again. Quickly she ran over to him, not sure what she would say or do once she'd gotten there.

 

He looked at her,unsure of what to do

 

She looked up at him, the blood, dirt and tears on her face highlighted by the bright sunlight.
"Don't leave me again..." She mumbled, her empty eyes burning into his.

 

"I wont..."he said staring at her"Get on....I'll take you back."

 

"Okay..." She said quietly climbing on the back of his motor bike. Hermia wrapped her arms around his waist and sighed slightly, for a brief moment for the first time in six long years her heart stopped aching.

 

He kicked the bike to life and roared down the street,towards his old home

 

Hermia hid her face in his back, she breathed in deeply. It was comforting and calming to be able to smell his scent again, to be so close to him again.

 

"You ok back there?"he asked

 

"Y-Yeah..." She said quietly, nodding her head slightly.

 

The bike rumbled to a stop in front of his old house

 

Ocean, who had settled down on the window sill in the living room, saw the bike pull up. "He's back again!" She called out to the rest of the house. "And it looks like he's got Hermia with him!"

Hermia stayed holding onto him, even after the bike pulled to a stop.
