If you were to make Kairi's KH2 dress, About how many yards of fabric would you estimate that to be? Right now I'm thinking 3, but idk. I don't want too much because the fabric I'm looking at is more expensive than the stuff I usually use.
For a tube-ish top dress like hers, probably between 1.5 - 2.5 yards. At least enough to go around the largest circumference part of your body (most likely hips, along with seam allowance). Also depends on whether or not you are draping or using a pattern.
Update; I got three yards just to be safe. I'm like a medium dress size so that should be good right?

Both. I've wanted to do Kairi for a while (as my first cosplay ever was KH1 Kairi so this is a nice loop around), and I'm planning on wearing her for part of ToraCon this year.
