Pros: Fun boss, fun co-workers, even fun kids at times

Cons: You get sick more often in the span of 4 months then in half of your lifetime. This is the worst I've felt since working at YMCA, and I've been like this for 2 days so far, feeling like it's going to go on for 3. I'm more than likely having to call in to work for a sick day tomorrow.

Young man, there's no need to feel down.

I wouldn't know. I don't go there past work, and even though the membership is free for employees, I never bothered to get one

Maybe it's just the fever I've got, but this made me think "I want to kill you"

So, you're saying that none of your time there involved getting yourself clean, having a good meal, or doing whatever you feel?

I feel like working there. Does that count?

How often do you work with kids? Teachers get in a similar boat where the first year or so is disease hell but then you are immune to practically everything and could probably survive the plague.

Sickness happens whenever you deal with kids.

...or people who just never learned to cover their mouths when they cough/sneeze. And people who insist on licking their fingers to separate their money. Why? Just why? I don't want to touch your saliva.

I've been working with 3-5 year olds for about 4 months now. I never used to get sick even when others around me were, but it's like my immune system died and took all of the sickness I didn't get at once. The best part, and by "best" I mean "worst", is that I'm practically immune to any kind of medicine having taken so much growing up for different reasons, so I'm just stuck waiting it out.

Or, you know, people who come in to work sick and don't go home. I don't even think I got this from a kid this time, there was a co-worker I worked with on either Friday or Saturday and she wasn't feeling well, and I'm sure I've got what she had. I haven't even slept in 3 days. If I were to count the actual amount of time I slept every night, maybe 2 hours at max. And now the stupid sun is out and I can't sleep with any bit of light, and I have no way to block it in my room, and I'm rambling on because my brain is in overdrive and I'm falling unconscious at this point and why haven't I stopped typing?
