Y'know what anime I'm getting into?

No but after this thread I'll put them on my list of anime to watch.​

 

Be sure to watch them in order: Gunbuster and then Diebuster.

 

Unless the rest of the show is ****ing genius, fan service is pretty annoying , distracting, and a pretty bad sign.
And it's not really aimed at me. I get how people like it, but it not for me.

 

How long are both of them? So I know if I've got some time to spend if i can finish one in a couple hours or not.

 

They are both six episodes long.

I started to watch this quite a while ago, and stopped at episode 6. I watched it because I wanted to see a good horror show with zombies, and it certainly does that.

 

...Except it's not horror.

 

well no, of course it's not horrific, but one of the genres for it is "horror". You usually get any kind of movie/show labeled as horror if it has something like zombies

 

Shaun of the dead is a romantic comedy, not a horror, it has zombies.

and im not joking, they officially like to say "it's a rom com...with zombies"

 

I hardly see Shaun of the Dead as a romantic comedy. It's just a horror comedy. It takes a typically scary situation and turns it into something funny. Nothing romantic about it aside from Shaun liking that one girl.

 

Classic tale of guy loves girl, girl dumps guy, guy tries to win back girl, like all romantic plotlines.

This one just has zombies.

 

I dunno. It always seemed more like a bro movie between Shaun and Ed. It's been a while since I've seen the movie, so I could be wrong. :T

 

Not even talked about the romantic side of Ed and Shauns relationship, movies flooding with romance bro.

 

Wait, you do know that I was talking about Highschool of the Dead, right? You know, like what the thread was made for?
And by your logic that would mean that Zombieland isn't horror either, but it's still labeled as that on sites like Netflix, even though it's a comedy in more specific terms.

 

Only horror is Zombieland is Bill Murray clearly being shoehorned in by a contract.

 

Horror is generally something that uneases you either through fear, disturbing imagery, and other stuff.
If at no point during Zombieland or HOTD or Shaun of the dead you are feeling out of your comfort zone then it's not a horror.
