I dunno if it's been brought up yet, but could we please update the options availble to us through our handy-dandy User CP? Such as diable smiles and colors and such. I know all of this is possible when you post, but having to go back if you've forgotten is such a pain. :3

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's been suggested before, and it was rejected, obviously. It's not toooo much of a pain to do it every time you post. I do. You just hit a few buttons.

This is just silly. If you're to lazy to push a few buttons how do you even browse the forum ?
    Ah well, doesn't matter :)

    Permanent colours?

STOP!!!!! Before you reject this and lock it, hear me out.

There are some peope (like me) who are sick and tired of having to change their posts just because they want all their posts to be a different colour.

K, that didn't sound right. heres what i mean:

I would like all of my posts colours to be purple, and, i dont want to have to change the colour every time! If we make a personal permanent colour which can be altered in the CP (like siggys), it could save time. And lets face it, the threads would look more colourful.

EDIT (5 minutes later): yep this is what I'm talking about.

Hmm, I disagree. The Edit button is made for these problems. If someone want to change his/her posts, he/she use Edit, maybe to change something he/she said, or to change the color. They are their posts, so they can do what they want.

I think it would be a great idea, I hate always changing my color when I want to talk in something other than black.

Yeah, a fonts option would be nice too.

This has been suggested before and i agree with you but to do that code would have to be changed and not just average changing i don't think. It mightn't even be possible on vBullitin. If it is possible then i'm all for it but if it can't it can't.

Ok, I'm sorry if this sounds really harsh but I seriously find suggestions like this to be pointless. It takes all of 2 seconds to change the colour of your post/font/position. It isn't as though it seriously affects your posting times.

I am going to say no to this, I personally think it just encourages laziness.

I agree with CtR on this one; changing font and color is just one click away. And besides, all you have to do if you want a different color that what is offered as basic to the forum is find the hex code and memorize it, it's only six characters. Then in the place of "black" you put the code, and BAM! There's your color.

I'm just gonna point this out, but this part:
    Doesn't make sense. If you edited it five minutes later, the note at the bottom of the post would have said "edited at 5:30 AM". >_>;;

Well, it's not like you have to have colored text or a certain font. It's up to you to do it and if you do want to do it, then you have to change it for every post you post in. The forum shouldn't have to be responsible for something you want to do, but don't have to. If your sick of changing it every time, then don't do it anymore.

Has this generation really gotten so lazy? If it bothers you so much it takes 5 seconds to change the colour of your font then don't change it in the first place, then there's no problem.

Look...if you already cruise around here wasting valuable hours of your life that you can never get back, then you really aren't going to miss the 30 seconds it takes to change it.

Also...it's just so much more hardcore to change it EVERY time. It shows dedication.
So I'd say no as well...even though my reasoning is slightly ******ed at best.

There's a special add-on for vB that enables that. One that we don't have. I've thought about asking for one too but I don't know, just seems like a waste of space.

What's two extra seconds gonna harm you, anyway?

I say no to this for two reasons:
    1) This has been suggested before (once or twice, I don't seem to recall) and it's been locked.
    2) It becomes habit after a while. So just do it enough times, and you'll do it without thinking.

I only agree with the suggestion for one reason. I haven't memorized the color code. D: I'm not always using a computer which means, no colors for me. >>

Like the others have been saying, this is a pointless suggestion. Not only does it only take a few seconds to change the color, but there are programs/widgets that can easily do this for you~

I agree with CtR and DP- no.

I've been editting my color, font, size, and alignment for every post I make for about a year now. Once you get used to doing it every time it becomes habit, it really isn't like it's some major ordeal I have to go through every time I post. o_o If you want your posts to be colorful, for god's sake sweetie you can afford to take the extra second to do it.
