358/2 Days Xion Discussion Thread

I Have a question (more like many questions).
If both Roxas and Xion can wield the Kingdom Key then, why does marluxia have to go through all of the trouble in Chain of Memories to make the Keyblade master(Sora) his Puppet? Could Marluxia had involve Xion or Roxas in his plan to overthrow the organization, would he need sora? Was this all apart of Marluxia's plot? is Xion Wielding the real Kingdom Key or a fake? if fake, where did she get it? has xion and roxas wield the kingdom key at the same time? at what time of the KH storyline was xion entered in the organization?

Well what i don't get is how Namine works out as being Kairi's nobody. I mean the way a nobodies name is created is by switching the letters around and adding an X. Why doesn't that apply to Kairi's name? Was it becuase she was a Princess of heart?

Namine created herself in Sora's memory but who did she take the place of? You would say kairi but in the manga they both existed in the memories and the same time. Sora just started to focus on Namine more. Therefore forgeting about kairi. In one of the trailers she also comments about him forgeting about Xion (memory leak-idge) and that " she probably can't endure it". why? becuase they were close in some way? i think the "shooting star promise" was real but didn't involve kairi. To other the scene is lovey dovey but somehow it just freinds looking out for each other's backs.

idk if it makes sense but it did in my head...

Soooo in short. I think the OTHER GIRL the manga suggests is actually the real shion. er i think

well, um, I guess Marluxia wanted Sora because he is the REAL person to wield the keyblade unlike Roxas and Xion(maybe not) are nobodies.
And Xion entered a while after Roxas so I guess it's after KH1, in the middle of
KH:CoM and before KH2.

OH and I think that the girl AnneSophie or something, from Bridge to Terabithia would be a good VA for Xion. She also plays Violet from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory(2005). ^^

 

I've been thinking the same thing. The connecting piece might be that Xion was artificially made from Aqua. Xemnas might have made her as a result of his tests. It would also explain why Xion could use the Keyblade. Also, the BBS Keyblades don't seem real. Neither does Xion's. That's just a few things I could think of.

When Axel is sent to Castle Oblivion, Xemnas entrusts Roxas to look after Xion, who quickly bonds with him. She reveals her ability to wield the Keyblade to him, and looks after him after he falls into a coma for several weeks in conjunction to Sora being put to sleep to regain his memories. After discovering that all Organization members in Castle Oblivion except Axel have been slain by Sora and Riku, Roxas, Axel, and Xion all begin spending more time together as per Roxas's suggestion and become fast friends. It is possible that she may have the same abilities to control the Samurai Nobodies.

However, a series of events begin to split the trio apart: While DiZ and Naminé oversee the restoration of the sleeping Sora's memories (moving him from Castle Oblivion to Twilight Town), Roxas begins to experience the process for himself, and begins to ponder over how he is able to wield the Keyblade; Axel is reprimanded by their superiors for placing his friendship with Roxas and Xion before the Organization's goals; and Xion is thrown into disarray after a confrontation with Riku, who questions who she is and why she wields the Keyblade, becoming torn between staying with her friends and leaving the Organization to merge with her true self as Riku suggests. Eventually Xion decides to leave the Organization, though becoming hostile towards Roxas and Axel when they attempt to stop her.
Xion prepares to battle Roxas

After her departure, Xion discovers that she is not a Nobody, but an imperfect replica of Sora created from his leaked memories by Xemnas as a fail-safe in case Sora turned out to be useless to the Organization's plans; the reason she resembles Kairi is because Sora's memories of her are the strongest one he has. In addition, Naminé's attempts to restore Sora's memories not only affect Roxas, but Xion as well, to the point where she begins to take on Sora's physical appearance. This revelation drives Xion completely insane.

Xion confronts Roxas at the Twilight Town train station, and after revealing her altered form to him, transforms into an armored creature and attacks him in The bizzare room of Wonderland, Oogie's manor's ruins and the lamp chamber in the Cave Of Wonders where you fight Jafar in the first game, planning to kill and absorb Roxas in a delusional attempt to become a real person, uncaring that this would prevent the real Sora from ever awakening. After a grueling battle, Roxas defeats the deranged clone of his former self, who regains both her sanity and her original appearance. Cradling Xion in his arms, Roxas shares an emotional conversation with her, and she reveals the true colors of the Organization to him before dying peacefully in his arms. Emotionally shattered, Roxas absorbs Xion's degenerating body, granting him the use of her Keyblade (allowing him to dual-wield both his and hers as well) in addition to inadvertently bringing the restoration of Sora's memories to a complete stop.

It is Xion's death that compels Roxas to depart the Organization to find himself.

Just gonna jump in and say that, I read today that, this is just a theory, that Xion was a clone of Sora's memories, the clone being of the one who he cared most about, this being the reason why she looks like Kairi. I thought it could be true.

 

Though the japanese could have been translated from english.

Well a thought just occurred to me... I haven't played or discussed this game in a loooong time, so bear with me. :/

Didn't Kairi forget what happened to her before KH1 even started? Maybe something happened to her before the game even began... which may have contributed to the whole Xion thing?

ive got a whole compllicated story behind my guesses,but im horrid at trying to explain stuff. so i do have a story behind my reasons!

I don't know if this will be moved. . most likely yes since technically it IS a spoiler~ But, Xion isn't Kairi's nobody. She is an 'imperfect replica' of Sora. She just takes the look of Kairi because she is Sora's strongest memory- -or, what he thinks about most. Nomura has specified that she is a different character~ She was part of an intended series of replicas created by Xemnas just in case Sora turned out to be useless for Organization XIII's plans.

The reason why she met Riku was because she fights with the keyblade, just like Sora and Roxas. And in the end, Roxas absorbs her degenerating body which is the reason why he can wield two keyblades- -or is one of them anyways. Plenty of people will believe what they want, but this makes sense to me.~

Also, I've never played the game so bear with me, hehe.

Well, as far as we know Xion is an imperfect replica of Sora created from Sora's memories. So why does he / she take the form of Kairi?

Also, if Xion was battling the heartless with Roxas and Axel, why was there no signs of him/her in any of the other games. I mean, we see clips of Roxas before he left the org.

Another thing. Why, if Xion was the 14th member, was the group of nobodies still called Organisation 13. Or did she disappear (I haven't seen / played the game I have no idea what happens to her) before they named the group?

Lastly, why is Xion's name Xion. All the other organisation names represent their somebodies names, so why Xion?

The memories of Sora she has are of Kairi, a missing "chain" of memory, so to speak. But even then, despite this, why she takes Kairi's appearance is left vague. For example, the "dark haired girl" Xion is what Roxas and the players see. But if you cut to Xigbar's point of view, and Nomura said that Xemnas sees Xion that way as well sometimes, they witness Ven. It seems more to me that it doesn't matter what memories she has, though I think Kairi's memory affects it a bit. It just depends on the person who watches her and their connection to Sora to get an image.

In other words, Xion has no gender. "She" only takes forms.

Because she was random, thrown in, and never existed by that point at all. She was added to Days as a simple plot device. And to cover their mess about why she was never mentioned, they had everyone lose their memories of her at the end. The perfect cop-out, because they know it wouldn't make sense otherwise.

As I said, she was random. But if you want an in-game explanation, she was never a Nobody. Just a replica. She wasn't and isn't a real member of the Organization, and was only added as the "14th" so Xemnas can test out the creation, and the interaction with Roxas. It was more like an alias.

That's because Xion's "name" is No.i, which stands for a lot of things, but for the most part, it means she was the first (number one) replica in Xemnas's intended series of keyblade wielding replicas in case Sora turned out to be useless for Organization XIII's plans.

Riku Replica, we can guess, was No.2. Though he turned out to be a completely different being than Xion was, and I doubt he was meant to replace the Sora.
