hey im getting a 360 for christmas and i hear that they have a relatively high failure rate, so i decided to get a cooling fan attatchment, but then i heard that some of them kill the system still be draining too much power from it, particularly the Pelican Cooler and the Nyko Intercooler. so does anyone know what fan i should buy or should i even get one?

    thanks

I don't think you need a fan, as long as its not in a cabinet where the heat can't escape, it should be fine.

I've had my 360 foe about 6 months and i never had a problem with it. i dont have a fan with it or anything and it runs fine. But if there becomes a red ring where the green conroler ring is turn it off asap. but i dont thing you need a fan and dont have it standing up. if it gets nocked over it will F**k up your game

Just make sure you have it in a well ventalated area, not in an enclosed space or cabinate, out in the open where it can get plenty of cooling air. Also, don't stand the 360 up vertically, have it resting on it's side as it is easier on the Disc and is a more open position for the ventalation holes to get air

If all else fails and you end up with a troublesome apple, the tech support and warranty is really good. When mine went all bananas on me, we shipped it out and got a new replacement in exactly a week. All of it was free of charge too.
