lol, there's SEVERAL cards like that. They're called Gemini cards. notice it says "Machine/Gemini" on it, instead of "Machine/Effect".
While it's face up on the field, just declare "I normal summon (also known as Gemini Summon) Ancient Gear Knight" and it gains it's effect. You can only do this if you have a normal summon to use that turn, and after you do it you can't normal summon until your next turn, unless you've used double summon or ultimate offering or something.

 

That's weird...I've never heard of that...

 

Oh, I just thought of another question that I wanted to ask:

What if I equipped something like Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce to a monster that can attack twice in the same Battle Phase like Mataza The Zapper or Elemental Hero Neos Knight? Would that allow them to attack one or 2 more times?

Or does it just not work on them? I thought I may have heard some sort of ruling on that awhile back but I'm just making sure.

 

Think of it this way. What the card says is very literal. that's why it's very important to read the freaking card.
If it said "an additional attack", cards like that could, but it doesn't. read the wording carefully and the question should answer itself.

Okay, I've got a question about Dimension Fusion:

Can it only be played if BOTH players have Monsters in their out of play zone? Or can it still be played even if only one person has Monsters in their out of play zone?

And don't say read the card because I already did...-_-

The reason why I'm asking this question is because some cards like The Shallow Grave have rulings to where they can only be played if both players meet the conditions. So I was wondering if the rulings of Dimension Fusion were like that.

If you haven't gotten it,

Shallow grave says both players have to TARGET a monster. If there is no target, the card can't be activated.
D-Fusion on the other hand, only says that both players special summon as many removed monsters as possible without targeting. So only one player needs to meet the requirements.

That's a really sweet card! Sending it to the graveyard and only being able to play it when you control only one monster seems like a pretty small price to pay!

 

I have another question now:

I heard on Wikipedia that I can't use Elemental Hero Prisma to reveal Rainbow Neos and send Rainbow Dragon to the Graveyard to have him be treated as Rainbow Dragon in order to use him as Fusion Material to summon Rainbow Neos...

Why is that? I don't understand...

Alright, What if I played Fake Hero to Special Summon Elemental Hero Neos from my hand and then I summoned either The Light Hex Sealed Fusion or King of The Swamp to the field? Could I substitute them for Rainbow Dragon or Rainbow Dark Dragon for The Fusion Summon? Or does their effect only apply to when they're fused with Polymerization?

 

Of course you can do that. Why wouldn't you be able to? Also, you don't even need to summon Neos or Light Hex/King of The Swamp. You can just use Poly while they're in your hand.

Man I wish I'd known that sooner...I just assumed that it was like the other ones where you don't use Polymerization but return the cards from the field to the Deck instead...
