DS: if you want to get back together with him, try to be more open with each other. Tell him how you feel and what has been holding you back. I can understand being shy and nervous believe me. (we won't get into my past right now....) If you both miss each other, than the best thing you can do is to talk it out, see where he stands. It's a lot harder to figure out what someone is thinking when you don't know for sure.

Hope it helps, and if he becomes a jerk, throw a sucker at his head.
