Hi people! Once again...hows the writing? With the homework I have I'll never get time for stuff I want to do:). With science in the way( which is my worst subject) I'll be on the road that will never end. Also, ever heard of the book Chasing Yesterdays? ( Just curious in mind)

Thanks, guys ^-^ since I can't use names on here, I'll just say -Principal- and "Bunnycuddles" as my name and I'll just use "Kittysworth K-8" for my school name...lol XD here it is:

    Dear Principal,

I would like to express a bit of my concern with you. Recently, I was scanning the internet and I came across an interesting article. It stated that a boy had been shot and killed by his friends for being gay. I noticed that this boy was not that old, and that this was a ridiculous reason for somebody to be killed. However, I found something else in that article that I thought was a great idea.

The second portion of this article explained about a national event called the "Day of Silence". The day of this event will be April 25th, and me, my sister, and my friend will be participating along with thousands of others across the globe. On this day, any person who is participating is suppossed to remain silent for the entire day. Many kids think that they can't go a day without talking, so they may tape their mouths shut. The reason for this is to silence the namecalling towards all gay, lesbian, and bi people who get picked on every day. I believe that it would be great if alot of kids from Kittysworth K-8 participated in this event.

Lately, I've seen many kids at Kittysworth K-8 get made fun of for being gay, lesbian, or bi. I feel that this is unfair. They should be treated just like everyone else. So, if the school participates, then we could give all of the gay, lesbian, and bi people a chance to fight back for equality and to feel like they're not any different than me or you, if only for one day.

Also, this event may help students learn a bit about discrimination and see how it is wrong. Many kids don't understand the importance of equality, so they go and pick on other kids. Any person shoule be aloud to be whatever they want to be, without people making fun of them.

So, I was hoping that you could help me get the students at Kittysworht K-8 to participate, or at least introduce the event to them. I feel that this would be a great learning experience for these students, and it would be great to have as many people as possible to participate. If you want to learn more about the Day of Silence, then go to http://www.dayofsilence.org/. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

    Sincerely,
    Bunnycuddles

I'm so glad that I'm still a middle schooler!

    It doesn't seem too bad...
I almost think the discrimination thing is a little off-topic, but it still kinda fits...
