Now, this movie is made for us gamers. I want to hear your guys's thoughts on the trailer and the cast you see.

I think this might be the best video game movie in a very, very long time!

I'm very excited about this, and I want to see it badly. I like the voice cast, and I love the story they set up. It's not overused or cliche, in my opinion, and it looks like a breath of fresh air for the lack of interesting animated films in 2012.

It'll be the best one since The Lorax I think.

Super Mario Bros is still the greatest video game movie of all time...

But seriously, all the game cameos and references, oh my god it looks so good.

The references are what are going to make this movie so great. The fact that you can see Eggman and Bowser will most likely bring in a good common goal between the two. They may even become friends.

The movie isn't about them. I doubt they have a greater role than that once scene.

I am aware, but there will still be a reference or two with them and the other cast.

I think your assuming too much. The whole movie is going to run on one-time references. Referencing something more than once would be unnecessary.

    Except that movie was terrible

I'm honestly stoked that they are not just sticking to the super popular characters like Bowser and Eggmen, I honestly squealed when I saw Coily and Q*Bert. But this movie really seems to have some promise, and I heard so many cool things about the design process, I heard they were planning to do this whole movie in 8-bit but decided to go on in CGI because capturing emotion in 8-bit would be hard.

ALSO I HEAR THE DISNEY LOGO WILL BE IN ALL 8-BIT WHICH I AM EXCITED TO SEE.

That would be really painful to watch for 2 hours. I'm glad they stuck out with the CGI route, it gives them more openness outside of 8-bit games and junk.

Damn was that movie just....good. Solid story with plot-twists that made sense but I didn't expect somehow and good doses of nostalgia with its own original humor and style. Gonna see it again for sure.

I only saw the trailer now. I really want to watch it now, but it might be a little too late. I guess I'll have to wait for the dvd.

The Sugar Rush song (by AKB48) from the movie is now stuck in my head.... and I'm ok with that!

I was able to see it yesterday. And it seems like Disney still knows how to tell a great story. I'm not someone who played many video games growing up, so all the cameos of other characters weren't a big draw in for me. They were more played off as one note jokes, but since they weren't really all that important to the plot, I don't mind it.

I really thought Sarah Silverman's character was going to annoy me, but she was a very well thought out character. I really sympathized with her, and they didn't play the "cute" and "kiddy" bits too much (I hated the duty jokes). Actually, I was surprised by how many jokes went over kids heads. When they referenced Children of the Corn, it was only me and one lady laughing hysterically for a good minute.

I also liked how dark it would get, even towards the end. Yes, it's Disney, so they have to end it a certain way, but there were moments where it seemed it wasn't afraid to go down a different path.

My only complaint is that they tried too hard making Ralph the "hero" character by making everyone else around him a ******. The random tenants in the Fix-it Felix Jr. world are just bullies for the sake of being bullies. And even Felix is guilty of it in the beginning. You're character isn't automatically good just because everyone else around him suck; that's not good developement. Really, it's a nitpick, but it happens so much in movies, that I feel I have to bring it up.

All in all, to see it, and buy it when it comes out. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets some medals come awards season *shot*

Yeah, I was surprised at how much much I loved Vanellope. After all, I've got my avatar and name dedicated to her :D

    Glad you enjoyed it!

Not gonna lie to you guys, not ashamed of this but during that one scene (if you have seen the movie, you know what I"m talking about) I got teary eyed and shed a couple of tears. I f***ing hate you Disney! You are the only people that can make a 22 year old cry in a movie!!! I really loved this movie, they did a really good job of making it and getting some pretty great cast line up. If you haven't seen it, then you are missing out.
