To be fair, it was a good comparison. Not that its parallel was not silly as well, but still.

Even so, laws of today are interfering with the analogy. The chaingun Toyota, for example, would clearly be illegal to drive on the road, and that factor can taint and bias people's judgement of the paralleled situation of the PS3 when it should not. Furthermore, people are bringing in weapon and gun analogies, which draw upon specific regulation laws, which further confuse the issue.

It'd be prudent to lay off the analogies for a bit, or at least limit them to a sentence or two.

And that is where the balancing would come out. The company or individual who owned the roads would not make laws about it, but would have absolute control over the roads that they owned. The laws would not govern roads, but property itself, of which both the truck and the road are examples. And so it goes on with more later, but you should be able to think that out yourself again.

You must not know ANYTHING about cars. You can't just put 10 foot wheels on it, the police would stop you immediately at first sight and take in your car. They would obviously do the same if you had chainguns on a car.

Hopefully this geohut guy will lose the case and //////// will burn his PsP, then everything will finally be right in the world again.

He will need to video himself burning said PSP and include a long rant about it, then send it to Sony.

I don't get why there's a problem here. Him not buying another Sony product won't really make an impact on Sony. Sony has taken action, and nothing anyone does will reverse that in anyway whatsoever.

I never said it would make an impact, but it would be funny to see him waste £200.

    Oh how bothersome.
Even if you hate Sony, why would you want to burn your PSP anyway? I'd feel bad if I set my PSP on fire.

I haven't played it for a while but it's a fun wee game. Just so frustrating sometimes if you're in a team that doesn't work together. D:

This is why the analogies are completely and utterly stupid. There are road safety rules, and those changes violate road safety rules. However the argument at hand is about intellectual property, which means that the ten-wheeled Toyota doesn't fit in, and is being misused. You are attempting to apply properties from the Toyota upon the PSP, when the PSP does not violate any such road rules. We are only discussing intellectual property. If you were to do this ten-wheeled Toyota thing out on a farm, on your own property, there wouldn't be a problem.

Also, the chainguns were a bad idea to include, because they draw upon weapon and gun regulations, which follow completely different rules to those of PSPs.

I don't have $599 to spend on an NGP. I've already got my 3DS preordered. I've never taken sides before this but consider me a Nintendo fanboy starting now.

    It's going to be $250.
