I've been in a relationship or twelve (lol?), but never with anyone I actually ended up caring too much about. Hell, most of them ended by the second week. Seems like everyone I've met only wants to hangout while the money is there, the beer is flowing, the bong warmed up, and while its sexy party time. No one I've met is willing to stick through all of the motions of that roller coaster called life. Bichez. . . D:

Even so, I think I'd rather fall and lose. Better than being a 40 year old virgin.

Hm, I would love and lose, for I would be aware that someone special would still care about me. Perhaps we may see each other again.

Depending on the personality, it would seem to be psychologically and emotionally healthier for some to know that they are still cared about than an unknowing doubt. There are many exceptions, of course - perhaps exceeding those select few in this personality scenario.

I would rather lose the one I love than never find love at all. I mean, if you lose them, then there's still a chance for love again, but if you choose the other option, you're stuck forever. I'm sure there are plenty of cases where a lover has died and the survivor has found somebody else to be with. It doesn't mean you're replacing the person, either.

I would rather lose love as long as it is true, if I stay with a person I do not love it will be like betraying myself and my feelings.

The second one by a long shot. I am perfectly fine with living with someone I don't love. While it's not exactly the same I'm living with someone I don't have any romantic feelings for right now and I'm not going to trade that for any generic crush anytime soon.

The first choice. I'd rather have felt that close bond to someone and lose it than to go through life always unhappy that I could never be with someone so intimately that I'd trust and know so well. I can deal with the pain of having lost the person and either it will be enough for me to have experienced it or I may find someone else later who I can love for the person that one is. To live with someone who I do not feel love for seems like it is cheating them out of finding someone who will love them deeply. It's like a masquerade and I'd be playing her emotions. It seems rather selfish to me, so if that's the case, I'd rather be alone so I don't hurt someone because I'm 'lonely' and desperate to be with anyone. I have lived alone and don't really worry about it so I can wait around for what is real on both sides.

I'd say live with someone I don't love, I wouldn't know what I'm missing if I've never loved before. And I suppose living in a loveless relationship has it's benefits, it still seems to be socially more acceptable to be in a steady relationship than being single. And who knows, maybe you'll learn to love the person you're tied to eventually.
