Well, in the case of Saix, that's true, but that at least proves there's more happening in Sora's in brain than "See the black cloak? See it? See it? Fetch!"

*quickly imagines Sora as a puppy* *now has trouble getting the image out of her brain*

There seems to be an opinion that if it's not written by the same person / same group of people as the original, then it's crap and shouldn't exist at all. I personally don't mind KHII at all (in fact I love the game to bits; it was one of the first games I bought for myself). I realise there's some stupid moments in it, but they don't make me want to write off what's still a good game.

    *checks cutscene* *no, seriously*

Nope. Squall didn't even work out it was the Princesses. He got stuck when King Mickey walked in, and he had to tell them, "Well, the Door to Darkness can only be opened by the seven princesses."

And if you're wondering this is a detail feud. I get into these often. No biggie, just stems from my OCD.

Also when I try to quote you all the quotes turn gold and it's magical. :D

Duly noted, we need fanart of Sora as a puppy.

KH2 was made by different people to KH1? First I've heard of it. I was under the impression that Nomura managed the plot for both.

I'm not denying KH2 is fun (hell, I'm here on this site, no?), I'm just pointing out that during the gap between KH1 and KH2, Sora got stupider. Final Form is still multitudes cooler than any game mechanic KH1 came up with.

After being given that hint, he figured out that the password could be the princess' names. I saw that as Mickey bouncing an idea off Squall, but I suppose it could be taken both ways.

But you're robbing my text of it's life! D8

I have more evidence to support the Sora isn't stupid theory, the second visit to twilight town, when Kairi gets kidinaped, Sora has to find her for most of the rest of the game, So then Sora is not an idiot.

Well Axel was planning on using Kairi as a trap to get Sora to become Roxas again, while Saix used her to fuel Sora's rage so he'd kill heartless. So Sora walked straight into both their traps. He would have eventually been killed at TWTNW if Riku didn't save Kairi himself.

I see how you made it to premium, you are a good debator, but Sora knew what
Saix was doing, he didn't care, he didn't care what happened to himself, as long as Kairi was safe, If it doesn't show his inteligence, then it shows his valor, and honor, and most importantly: his love. Those are character traits that are more important than intelligence, even though I don't think Sora was an idiot, he always had good character.

As for the inteligence debate; Sora also figured out how to ride a motorcycle in a remarkable timeframe, (Think Tron) as far as the game shows, he had about 30 seconds to figure it out, and I don't think he would have ridden a motorcycle on Destiny Islands.

I do too also agree that sora got stupiter, i mean, a 14 year old boy going crazy to see santa? he spent a whole year in a pod, wouldn't your mind also get a little crazy? but sora was never the brightest ever either (in both games)

Well Sora has always come across as not someone who uses logic or intellegence anywhere near as much as some other protagonists. However he has always followed where his heart leads. In the first game his heart lead to Riku and Kairi and he got there. On the point of Sora going black cloak = bad guy I follow the theory that although his memories had been wiped of castle oblivion either his heart still pointed him into disliking them because they screwed with his head or Diz told Namine to give him an instinct to fight the organization so he could use him to finish them. Either way he followed whatever remenants of feelings he had against organization XIII lead him to attack them. On the whole going bananas for Santa - Kingdom hearts is proudly brought to you by Disney. Disney loves keeping the dream alive for younger people. Sora is a representation of Disney's favourite audience (0<12 year olds) when it comes to this dream. If Sora's character development was only up to Noruma I'm pretty sure Sora would be extremely more mature, but he isn't so thats why the Santa issue exist.

    Matter of opinion.

I'm not going to say Sora wasn't intelligent, he was just...naive. Of course, he toughened up in his adventures, but he was just a kid when he got thrown into the mess. Then there was the whole "not going to school for 2 or so years" thing.

I think that while he was in the pod, his intelligence and maturity still grew, just at a slower rate than it should. It was easy to see that he had grown, but at other moments, it was hard to see (i.e. Santa).

EDIT: I also kind of agree with Gobolo. Sora had somewhat of a "black coat=bad" mentality going on. I personally think it was his suppressed memories of Castle Oblivion (or whatever happened to those memories) or just his naivete simplifying things. I mean, later on he was able to see that not all black coats were bad (Axel's sacrifice, "Ansem" rescued Kairi), but his "first" (not counting CO) experience with them in Hollow Bastion, they all had black coats and they all laughed at him, and they all pretty much challenged him. I can't really think of any Org. Member that just said "Yo, let's talk for a bit." It was always "Hi, I'm *name*, let's banter for a bit and then I can kill you for betraying us, Roxas, and go along with my mission."
I mean, Demyx was obviously hesistant, but he still attacked Sora and he was still causing havoc.

and I agree completly with this, it was only things that had happened that led to the Black coat= bad, similar to how if you treat a dog well, then it will be nice, but if you are mean to it all the time, then it will be mean.
