A Separate Peace and The Killer Angels....

A Separate peace i bought thinking it was good, a day later i returned it back to the store. The Killer Angels was about the gettysburg battle, and the story was sooooooooooooooooooooox10000000 boring that the teacher made us stop reading it after the first week. Insted we read lord of the flys..a bit better the killer angels...but not that good.

Now this year were reading Phadrus..that's a book read by univiersty students. It kills me slowly everytime i read it, it's soo hard to understand, but when you understand it you kinda hate/like it at the same time.

The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison

For me a "good" book has to grab my attention within the first 3 chapters. If it doesn't, I don't want to read it anymore and that's what happened with that book. Honestly, I really didn't read the book. I just skimmed the pages before I went to my English 2 class.

There was another book that my class was supposed to read called The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway that I was dreading to read, but my teacher dropped it in favor of extending our poetry and drama units. :D

    The Black Steed.

I can't remember it's excat name but it had to be the most BORING book I ever laid my eyes upon x_x Plus it was just like thousands of other cowboy shows I've seen with people who can't ride a horse right untill the very end.

I got sick of it. Plus I fell asleep after I read each chapter.

Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell.
My evil byotch of a reading teacher made us read it for an assignment last year.
Then we had to make a brochure trying to encourage people to visit the island.
My favourite part of the book?

Screw you, I loved that book.

Worst has to be House on Mango Street. It's about this Hispanic who moves on to Mango Street, and it's about finding her identity and place in society. Yah, I hope she found it when she gets RAPED and blames her friends for it. But jesus, such a boring book.

Hmm. I see quite a few Odessyes here. We have to read that next Semester. Hope it's not too boring. =/

SCREW YOU MORE. That was a great book. You just have to get past the first few chapters (which I'll admit were boring) and then it's great.

"The Chocolate War" by Robert Cormier. Well, the book wasn't that bad, but reading as an assignment? A definite no.

I liked that book. But if it would've been an assignment I would have stopped after the first chapter.

A Tale of Two Cities. Oh. My. GOD. What is WRONG with this book? It's the most boring book I've read in my life, and this is coming from someone who likes To Kill a Mockingbird. I mean, seriously! The two main characters are flat, and the only awesome guy in the story besides the lady who was murdering everyone died! For the main character, who's a FLAT character! I mean, seriously, what kind of person makes the hero a flat character? GAAH.

Okay, sorry, I'm done. The book wasn't horrible, mostly just boring. I"m still pissed Sydney died, though. And don't get me wrong, I love reading. But this book... I don't know.
