Kingdom Hearts II world problem

hi im new here and im playing kh2 for the second time :). im at lvl 47 and my problem is that when i try to land in hollow bastion to fight the MPC the screen just stays black with the music of the world map. am i screwed? i tried clearing other worlds to c if that fixes it but so far nothing. any suggestions on what i can do?

 

Hmm... try cleaning your disc. It may have fingerprints or scratches.​

 

Like Amber said, check the disc for scratches.

If not, it may be a permanent glitch if you've had the game for over a few years.

I'll be right in the middle of X-men Legends, and the screen goes totally green, and freezes.
It happens when you don't pick the right disc at the store...>-<

EDIT: Funny how much can change the word disc when you leave out the "C".

well weird thing is that when i put the cd on my ps3 the world does load but not on my ps2 i guess my ps2 is bad eh?

hmm, maybe your optic is very old?

 

i think there is just a problem with the disk (try cleaning it with cotton with a little alcohol above. This method works with my discs) or maybe your play-satation can't read that part of the disc

 

The disc might be dirty, that explain why your PS2 doesn´t read, and maybe your PS3 does cause the PS3 has much more power than the PS2 in the dir might not affect the game.
