"OK" talanb replied "Remember if you need me I am but a summon away!"

 

"You've also got help here if you need it. It's the least I can do."

 

Maron woke up late the next morning. She had been at the Inn for sometime now not knowing where else to go. She'd thought of going to Laren, Celestia's hometown, but what was she to do when she got there? She knew no one and she wasn't very familiar with elvish culture. So, she stayed at the Inn.
As Maron looked out the window she couldn't believe what she was seeing. It was Celestia and Talanb telling Zeke good-bye as he left. Confussed, Maron scrabbbled down the stairs and into the courtyard.
"What's going on?! I thought Zeke was the enemy, and now you're waving good-bye to him like an old friend? What did I miss? "

 

"Zeke is an unfortunate individual. Possessing two souls, one of darkness and one of light, he is in constant turmoil. At present the good soul is in command, as the dark soul is temporarily sealed. The good Zeke is a charming man and it is sad that he suffers so. I will not hold anything the dark soul does against the present soul. That would be evil and cruel."

 

"Yes it is unfortunate he has to bear the darkness" Talanb sighed.

"We have to find a crystal. I have a real feeling that if we don't something bad will happen, but I don't know what."

 

"I will accompany you. After all, there are always great dangers on the way. And it can be a lonely place sometimes" Talanb replied.

 

"Thank you. I really appreciate your support."

Celestia felt warm when Talanb offered support. She hadn't really understood why, but there was something about him that made her feel safe.

Maron felt sorry for Zeke and burden he had to bear. As she listened to Celestia and Talanb she heard the word "crystal", and remembered her reason for leaving her home. The crystal had amazing powers both that could both create and destory. She remebered if she found a way to restore her village then she would be allowed back. The crystal could be the answer to her prayers, and if she helped these two maybe they'd help her in return. Maron didn't know but at least she might be of some use to them.
"If it's not a bother," Maron said "may I join your quest? I'm not sure what use I'll be but I'm good with spells and such."

 

"Of course you can. I would love you to join. I know we need to find the crystal though I don't know why. Perhaps you can help us find out what exactly this crystal does. I keep getting visions of the crystal but nothing else."

 

Maron wasted no time replying. "Thank you Celestia. Anyways all I know about this crystal is that it has the power to create and destory. If the Vampires got hold of it we'll all be doomed, but if we can track it down in time we should be able to reverse whatever the Vampires have done."

 

"I'm glad you'll help us. That crystal must never fall into the wrong hands. I have already had enough problems with vampires. Poor Zeke needs help and I really hope he finds all his answers. I think he'll be a good friend to us all as long as he stops trying to attack or marry me. Jon I don't know much about, other than he's part vampire as well. Talanb is good, I feel it."

Celestia blushed slightly and looked at the ground. Why was she so uncomfortable talking to Maron about Talanb. It wasn't like she was a little girl.

 

Maron giggled and gave a meep smile. "Don't worry it's okay. Your secret is safe with me."

 

Celestia grinned. "Thank you. I feel so embarrassed."

She really liked Maron, and hoped that when the chaos was over they would not drift apart. She knew that finding the crystal was important, and that the vampires had to be stopped. Her mission seemed pointless now, as the powers were corrupt and she would offer no alliance with them. Celestia could only hope that she would do the right thing.

 

searching threw books Zeke couldn't find anything useful about etract spells.......

''shoot ,useless library hmph I guess I'll go look for another one............''

Zeke then left the library.........

 

"It is settled. Then." Talanb shouted. "We leave for the crystal... uh... when we are ready to..." Talnb said a bit emmbarrassed by his mistake.

He was not sure what to thinkof Maron. She seemed timid yet brave. He knew she was good at spells. That would probably come in handy. "I wonder f Jon could help Zeke.." he said to himself looking down at the ground.

 

"Give up everything?" Maron said, finishing up Talanb's sentence.

 

" Uh... yea" "Thanks " he whispered to Maron. He still didn't know what he should do. He didn't know why he was helping Celestia. It confused him too much.

 

"No problem" she wispered back. She looked at Talanb. Studing his face and posture and smiled a bit. "This shall be an interesting romance to follow."
