'He said he'd resurrect, and he will sense that I am back. Take my silver sword. It should slow him down, just as it did Jon. I cannot fight in this condition, as I cannot move.'

 

"... if it is the only way then I will, to protect you. Yet i do not think he will be able to fight... yet."

 

'Why are you so protective of me? You owe me nothing. I am a stranger to your town, who would have disappeared as unnoticed as she arrived if it wasn't for you. Why do you care?'

 

" I... I do not know, I just do, I cannot help it I, do not understand it."

 

'Strange. If I could I would hug you now. I feel protective towards you, although we barely know each other. Perhaps it is our elven blood. It is a little frightening. I would shield you with my body against that monster, Zeke should you require it.'

 

''zeke walked on the island........

''hehehehe now to get older hehehehe a village........its lunch time!''

zeke ran to the village biting everyones blood in sight........

 

Celestia managed to move her arm. She concentrated and moved the other. It was hard work but she was nearly able to stand enough to face Talanb. She pulled herself up and sat on the bed. Using the wall for support she slowly stood up.

"I can stand again." Celestia covered her mouth in surprise. She could talk again.

 

"I know. Do you truly think that I would do something that would leave you like that? The paralysis is only temporary due to the soul being torn from reality then thrust back in. Eventually you will be as you were before. And as for when you die... well, leave that to a deal with me and the overlords."

 

"I do trust you Talanb."

Celestia walked slowly and unsteadily over to Talanb and hugged him.

"Thank you. I know this must have cost you dearly"

She looked deeply into his eyes.

 

"the lords owe me anyway" he said calmly lokking deeply into celestia's eyes hoping to find a fastly- reparing soul. "This is all they could have given to me anyway do not worry it is because of my darker side that you are safe now."

 

Celestia drew away from Talanb. "I should go back to my room to rest. I have probably outstayed my welcome here." Celestia walked towards the door and walked to her door.

 

"sleep well tonight for i fear you will need it." he whispered to himself. He knew the many things that could happen in this situation. None were bad but, some were better than others. He waited untill he heard celestia's door close. Then carefully slowly opened his ensuring not a sound was heard. He carefully made his way to her room and retreived some oil from a jar in his pocket and began to bless her room.

 

Celestia locked the door and got ready for bed. She felt tired and scared. Her soul had not fully healed and she was alone. She remembered how when she was little her mother would hold her until she slept. She curled up into a ball, hugging her knees and wept.

 

Maron had watched Talanb and Celestia from afar under her cloak, which she had made herself invisible by, hoping to be able to understand things that she didn't even know she wanted to know. As she watched Talanb bless Celestia's room she began to feel drowsy,like she did everytime she heard a room blessing. Untill she heard him miss up a few words and without thinking she opened her voice. "That's wrong," she said with her small voice. "The words you just said wheren't right, Talanb."

 

Celestia got up and paced the room. Her death had broken the curse, but had also meant that she couldn't gain the right mindset to meditate. She was upset, and still healing. She lay back on the bed and pulled the covers over her head. Suddenly the darkness scared her.

 

As Maron watched, seeing that her words were ignored, she felt Celestia's fear. If only she could offer some type of comfort, but she was an outsider and always would be.

 

Celestia sobbed as she tried to hide from the darkness. She was alone and far from home, a stranger in a strange land. She had been attacked, killed and resurrected since she'd been here. She felt like a small child again, but no one was there to drive the shadows away.

 

Celestia began to sob again and Maron almost began to sob with her but stopped herself. Then without thinking Maron entered the room and slowly approched the sobbing elf. "Celestia?" she said, her voice weak but stronger than last time. "Celestia it's me Maron."

 

Celestia peered out from under the covers. "Uh.....hi Maron. Sorry. " She wiped her eyes. "I guess I'm not as brave as people think. I don't know why, but I can't meditate and I feel like a small child again. Perhaps I've failed my people."

 

Maron still feeling uneasy sat down on the bed and began to talk but not look a Celestia. "No, you haven't failed. You're scared and that's.... normal. You've been killed and brought back all in one day, and the one you love is willing to put his life on the linejust to make sure you're safe. Its just probably put alot on your mind that you can't clear,and it feels all out of control and you feel scared, lost, and confussed. Am I right so far?"
