About to make one more "big" purchase off steam and I was wondering if a couple of the items I'm about to buy are worth it. The games I'm buying are star wars knight of the old republic 2, Worms Revolution (wanted to try a worms game), Dishonored and its dlc (wandering if I should get console version instead), Tomb Raider and maybe its dlc (wondering same as Dishonored), and the three Bioshock games (love these games and I am most likely getting with or without input). Just wondering.
I couldn't get into KOTOR2, but I hear it's great if you've played the first one. Dishonored is amazing and you should get it on PC because it's 100% more awesome when you only pay 34% of the price. The Bioshock games are so yes that they put Shuhei Yoshida to shame.
KotOR one is one of my favorite games of all time, and I implore you to pick it up along with the sequel. KotOR II was left largely unfinished and a lot of the really good stuff was cut, but if you play with the restoration mod it brings back most if not all of the cut stuff. Even without it, though, it's a really solid title that explores the nuances of the Force and has one of the best characters in Star Wars history. Great series and the games are so cheap these days, it's worth a buy. I'm playing through the first Bioshock right now and I'm enjoying it, it wasn't what I was expecting which is good and bad. It's not totally to my tastes but I really want to play Infinite.
I have the first star wars game, so I figured why not get the second one. Always wanted to try Dishonored, heard it was amazing but short. Still wanting to know more about Tomb Raider. Infinite is awesome, despite some of its problems which I can't remember at the moment, it's a pretty good game.
It's short, but totally worth it. It has lots of replay value too. Getting through the whole game without killing anyone feels great!
What's wrong with Obsidian? KotOR II's major fault is in it being unfinished, which wasn't Obsidian's fault--Lucasarts forced them to rush release the game for the holiday season, forcing them to make deep cuts to the ending (and some other content--an entire subplot and planet were cut). But the writing in the game is fantastic, it has such a complex plot that goes beyond the typical LIGHT SIDE BEST SIDE DARK SIDE EVIL GUYS dichotomy.
Most of Obsidian's games are unfinished, Fallout New Vegas is another example. Even though the game was patched its like putting a cast on a crippled person, the accident is still going to be there. They just have a reputation of making unfinished games, I don't know if its the other company's forcing them to hurry up or if they want to hurry up.
Before the sale ends, just wondering if the Tomb Raider dlc was worth buying. Since the vast majority of it seem to be multiplayer content or skins.
