    This is a series I found recently on YouTube, after reading the first volume of manga based on the anime. To my surprise, this little-known anime was actually dubbed in English...

    While simplistic in plot (wolves searching for paradise), Wolf's Rain surprised me by the attachment one forms to the cast of characters. Thirty episodes in total, it clearly knew when to stop and allow its storyline to end, which I can't say as much for many of the shows I've seen. Has anyone else uncovered this anime?

    Yes, but was there really much further they could have taken the show? It's brevity is the main reason I grew attached to it... are you sure it was canceled, or was it just at the end of its storyline?

    I don't know... I only found it on YouTube a few weeks ago, and there were thirty episodes in total... how many were aired on AdultSwim? (I'm not trying to prove you wrong, just so you know; I'm honestly curious.)

    I don't care as much that adult swim cancelled it. I think that the plot went as far as it went. What i care about is that they didn't show the last three episodes.

    At least not where i was, anyway.

    But this is a friggin awesome anime. It has a good storyline, with awesome characters (especially Darcia... :D).

    ***SPOILER WARNING!***

    That is by far my most favorite anime. It makes me sad they only made two mangas and then ended the series by killing them all off. I cried so much when Toboe and Tsume died. I inwardly cheered when Blue died. Yes I know I'm evil but she never seemed to grow on me.
    Oh well, but by far this is my fave anime and I will always love it!

    YES! The characters are the only reason I stayed with the show (damn linear plot lines!). Toboe is my favorite... I always fall for the pathetic characters!

    SPOILER ALERT!!!

    It was the first anime I ever saw actually! xD I saw it in 2005, in the subbed version. I orginally heard about it on another site I go on, and I didn't know there was a dubbed one in english then.

    So yeah, the series took me a two weeks. Tsume, is my favorite. He has such a bad-*** attitude, thats why I just love him! xD Besides, he's strong too. Darcia is my second favorite he's also a bad-*** guy. I brought the english and Japanese version off E-Bay. Its really crappy, they did something to the CD's and screwed up the whole thing when I was watching it.

    ~~~SPOILER ALERT~~~
    Thanks for mentioning the series Wolf's Rain. Sounded intriguing, so checked it out on YouTube. Wow. Quite good. The final episode is tough, but left me with hope for the characters. It does leave the viewer wanting to see more of what happens in the lives of the characters. Still, it's better to end a show with people wanting more, instead of dragging it out for years. They did complete the goal...and isn't that what the series was about?
    Yet, I wanted to see Kiba and Cheza (actually all of the main characters) together at the end....
    Only bad thing about the series...I couldn't stop watching! *LOL*
