Witch Hunt

In the middle ages people were dragged from their homes and put on trial in front of the whole village,accused of being a witch. They were tested,either burned at the stake,drowned or hanged,if they survived any of these attempts on their lives they were a witch. No one ever survived these tests. But thats not to say witches werent there. They just were smart enough to keep hidden and pretend to be just ask shocked as everyone else.

Centuries passed and Witches never died out-they passed their powers on to their children who in turn passed it down to their children etc and they only grew stronger.Magic is drawn to places with stronger magical Auras and histories. So it would make sense that most witch families are in the town of Devil Horn,a quiet little town near the coast. Witches live peacefully here with no troubles what so ever, untill the new girl, Ariadne Noels comes into town after her mother and older brother's death to live with her father and his new family. After making a few friends in this new town things start to go wrong when Witch Hunters,who have always followed Witches come to town to wipe out all witches.

Witches:
Light Witches-These witches are tied to natural things like the elements and can use their magic to control them. This is the only difference they have from Dark Witches,as both types can control everything else.

Dark Witches- These witches are tied to things like the weather,wich they can use as their main fighting power.This is the only difference they have from Light Witches.


The town was quiet as the black car drove silently through the foggy streets,Ariadne reminded herself that it was early in the mornning,very early and it was unlikely that anyone would be out and about.She was not looking forward to her next encounter with her estranged father,his new wife and two other children.She didnt want to be here...but unfortunate and unforseen circumstances had brought her to this little town where she was born.She could only hope she would grow used to it.

 

Alina was an early morning riser, but when I mean early morning I mean the moon is still out! There was a reason to this madness though. Each night, once the sun had disappeared beyond the horizon and the dark of night has enveloped the sky with stars, Alina would burn a white long stick candle, which held her wish that one day she would find others like her. So she would place it right by her window, still burning, and let the moon take her wish and before the sun could rise and destroy the magic of this old spell she would blow it out and hide it in a purple silk, placing it underneath her pillow. Alina had been doing this since she read about it in an old book in the library in the 6th grade, supposedly if you look hard enough you find some spell books.

By that time, it was time to get ready for school. If only there was a spell to destroy High School.

 

"Ariadne climbed out of the car and glanced up at the house,she gave a loud sigh and made her way to the door,apparently school was starting soon so all pleasantries would have to wait untill dinner but she could still expect some form of conversation.

 

Veronica lugged herself out of bed. Eyes strained and hair toussled. She drew back her violet-black hair and wrapped it into a messy bun. "Derek." Veronica called down the hallway of their new home. "We gotta get ready!" Veronica slightly yawned and went to the bathroom to freshen up an dress for school.


Derek sat at the kitchen table reading a desired book. He rubbed his strained eyes and looked up as Veronica called out to him. "Ready when you are." Derek called back and got up to get a drink of water. "We should get there moderately early, Ronnie." Derek called. He was always the "man of the house". Starting to care for his sister at a young age and having to up root their lives. Derek looked out the window to see the suns rays barley kissing the midnight sky. He turned around and began getting his things ready for school.

 

After a quiet chat with her father,he sent her up to her room to get ready for school

 

Alina adjusted the brown gathered skirt, making sure that her longsleved shirt wasn't poking out. It was her favorite shirt, tanned with a light pink floral pattern. After putting on her dark panty hose she slipped on her black baby doll flats. "Done." she smiled and looked up in the mirror, she wasn't one for make up and was a very modest person to say the least. Her hair was curled, like always, and she loved how the dark red would lighten up her blue eyes.

"Good morning Mama, good morning Papa!" Alina chimed happily as she ran down the stairs. Already sitting down was the man and women. They were a young couple that could not have a baby, thats why they were so willing to bring Alina in when they found her.
"Good morning Alina." The man, whose name is Gilbert, said. The man was working on something for work, blueprints by the looks of it.
"Come sit down and eat." The women with bright golden hair said as she placed down two plates. "Gil stop working while you're eating breakfast, you need to relax." She said kissing his forehead.
The man sighed, "You're so demanding Elizabeth." he teased and she flicked his nose. There relationship is a loving one, and their characteristics made is enjoyable for Alina to watch.
She smiled and ate the toast and eggs happily, making sure not to spill any yoke on her shirt.

 

The witch hunter named Drake stood in front of a building. With a sheet of paper in his hand he calmly stared down at it "so this is it" Drake said calmly. His usual attire was replaced with a casual suit. His long purple hair was tied back except for a couple of hair that covered his missing eyes.Taking his eyes off the paper he stared up at the building in front of him. This was were he would preform his cover job. Shoving his paper in his coat pocket, Drake silently walked into the school where he would become a teacher

 

Johnothan,Ariadne's father,drove her to school that mornning,they drove in silence as things were still alittle more than akward between them

 

Alistar smoked a ciggerate outside the school building. Oh how he needed to calm his anxiety and this cancer stick was the best way to do it. He took morning and took another every night. 2 ciggerates a day. But today he was thinking that maybe he'd need some more based on the fact that he was now a teacher for a school that was suspected to have witches in it. Flicking his ciggerate onto the floor and stepping on it he took a breath in before heading into the building. His long white hair was up to show his small blue butterfly earring. Glasses framed his chiseled face and he wore jeans and a shirt. Sure his attire wasn't as mature or professional as the other teachers but he was an art teacher.

"I'll be leaving now. Bye mama bye papa." Alina called out grabbing her sak styled book bag with different colors that she tye-dyed herself with the help of her Elizabeth of course. Alina enjoyed walking in the mornings, it was chilly though this morning, it still felt good either way, the crisp scent in the air, the clouds reflecting the color the sun scent out.
The red head smiled, she could tell it was going to be a nice day. in no time she was at school, it was a 10 minute walk if she took the right shortcuts to get there, going through allies and though some people's back yards. What ever way it took to get to school. It was better then taking the path her parents always told her to take that took about 20 minutes. But she kept it a secret from them, like the fact that she was a witch!

 

Ariadne climbed out the car,slamming it with more force than she ment,she made her way quickly towards the school without looking back. She was angry at her father for making her go on her first day in town. Did he really not want to spend anytime with her at all?

 

Alina crossed the street and noticed the female who slammed the car door. She's new. THought the light witc and tilted her head. I wonder what's wrong? Looking at the girl enter the gates she continued into the school. I would talk to her but...ugh curse my shyness​ the female thought again and sighed, tightening the straps to her sak.

 

AS Zeke made his way towards the school, the sound of a door slamming caught his attention. Turning towards the source he saw a girl he'd never seen before exiting a car. She must be new here. He thought as he continued to move towards the school.

 

Entering his classroom Drake glanced down at the papers on his desk and began to read through them. They were just basic things that he needed to know about his class. Being the new replacement for his class he had to at least know the basics. Taking a step to the window he stared out of it as he awaited for class to start

 

As she entered the main building of school she took a deep breath. She was always shy when it came to meeting people. Sure she would to make friends, but that is sort of hard when your a witch and you don't want anyone to know. but it has been 7 years since she came to town and yet she would just give polite smiles and stay silent as all theses people grew up happily. With a sigh she decided to walk to her first class of the day which was English, one of her favorite subjects. It was always nice in her opinion to read a good book in the morning.

Alistair leaned against his desk. He wondered if there would be any witches in his class. The new "Art Teacher" grabbed at the necklace around his neck, the small bottle with herbs in it. Supposedly it would protect him from any witch's attack. But these were High schoolers. What damage could young witches do? He sighed and tucked the small bottle around his neck.

 

Ariadne looked around the hallway for the office

 

Veronica dressed in black skinny jeans, and a Marilyn Manson band T-shirt. Her long violet black hair was drapped over her shoulders. She carried her draw-stringed backpack and walked casually by Dereks side who was wearing his normal attire. Black jeans, a Jack Skellington shirt and a black and red unbottoned plaid shirt flowing weakly in the light breeze. "Feeling uncomfortable?" Veronica quietly asked.

Derek turned his head towards Veronica. "No, I'm fine." He mumbled. As they approached the school, they both inhaled deeply. They weren't used to other people out side of their home town, which they had to abruptly leave from. They ascended the front stairs into the building.

 

Ariadne made her way to her locker after speaking with the staff in the office

 

As she walked to english class she saw the female from before. Mustering all her courage she went to the girl, "Um, hello." She said softly with a little smile. I hope she isn't mean...I hope she doesn't ignore me.
Most people did this to Alina, mainly because she faded into the background a lot, which was good being that she was a secret witch, but it also made her sad when she didn't have anyone to talk to. That's why it was going to change! this year she wanted friends!!

 

Ariadne turned to the girl and let out a breath of relief and smiled "Hi."she said "Im new here."

 

Alina was actually shocked that the girl was talkign to her. Containing herself from the shock she said, "I know, I have never seen you in town before." Alina's smile got a little bigger and happier.
"I am Alina Danvers." She said giving the last name her adoptive parents gave her. No one knew her real last name, if they did they would surely know she was a witch. Alina gave the female her had to shake.
