For some reason, my wireless keyboard will stop working, and I don't know why.

I know it's not the batteries, because I changed the batteries when I thought the factory batteries that came with it were dying, but it still did it, and then it stopped for a while, until yesterday.

All I did yesterday was move it and my wireless mouse to my bed mattress temporarily while I cleaned my desk with glass cleaner.

This was also happening when I was on Windows XP, so I know it's not a Windows 7 issue.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Use a USB keyboard, response failure is common in wireless devices.

    Thanks for the response.

Anyway, how come my wireless mouse has no problems, then?
Also, doesn't the fact that it was fine for a while mean something?

Might just be more reliable then your keyboard is, but I used to use a wireless mouse that had similar problems.

But if nothing is interfering with the signal then it could just be a faulty keyboard.

I don't think there's anything that would interfere with it.

The USB plug-in is plugged into a USB port in the back of my tower, and my wireless keyboard and mouse are on the glass surface -- my keyboard tray broke a long time ago.

There might be a problem with the keyboard, USB receiver or USB port. You should try using the keyboard with a different computer and see if it works there to try to isolate the problem.

Well, it hasn't been doing it recently, so this can be locked.

Even if it restarts, though, I'm not going to bother asking to re-open this.
There's really nothing that can be done in terms of "fixing" it.
