Winter time

Brad was walking around and of course he was in only a sweatshirt and jeans. The sun was setting and was a bright red. "looks nice" he thought to himself

 

"Not really," she stood up and stretched. "Br... it's getting cold." She looked towards the setting sun. "Heh, no wonder."

 

Brad started to walk towards the center of the park while taking off his headphones

 

"Hm?" Riley tilted her head while looking at Holden. She was waiting for him to finish his sentence.

 

Brad noticed a few people from school one in particular who has been troubling Brad for a while.

Riley looked at Holden for a second. What a strange request... She smiled and shrugged her shoulders. "Sure, no problem. We have a guest bedroom in my house." She started walking down the sidewalk, and then turned to Holden. "Follow me," she said while smiling.

 

Brad walked past the group.
"Hey isnt it a little late for you to be out without your parents?"
"Dont you remember Dan, His parents dont want him anymore"
"HA HA HA HA HA, *wipes tear from eye* i feel sorry for you new kid. not belonging anywhere and not wanted either"
Brad turned around. "Its been two months since I came here and ive been putting up with you..." He tried to remember the reason he was here in the first place. "well until your gone your stuck with me Bradley" Jake said
"grrrrr IVE HAD IT WITH YOUR ****!!!!" Brad dove at Jake's legs. bringing himself down with him. Brad blinded by the lust to see blood. After a few solid punches Jake has covering his face. Brad stood up. "what have I done?"
Dan helped Jake up and they stared at him.
Brad put his hood on and walked the other direction and in the distance hearing "you F***ed up psycho, what the hell is your problem!"
Brad noticed Riley and Holdan walking towards him. he quickly dusted himself off and wiped the blood off his knuckles.

 

Riley smiled while walking. "No problem... I don't think my parents will mind much. They like company sometimes..." She hugged herself to try to keep warm. "So... do you just play the guitar? Or do you play other things as well." She looked back ahead and saw somebody standing in the middle of the side walk. She raised an eyebrow. "Brad?"

 

Brad looked up and saw them. "oh crap they are gonna think im crazy...or worse!" he though. He dug his hands in his pockets. "hey guys, hows it goin?"

 

damnit how did they know? he thought. looking at his torn sleeve...oh thats how... Brad thought
"umm sorta... well i got into a fight with Jake..." he muttered sheepishly
Brad braced himself for any exclamations they might have

 

Riley raised an eyebrow. "A fight...? Are you okay?" She really didn't know what else to say. She didn't want to pry into Brad's life. He looked uncomfortable enough talking to them.

 

"well thats why im in America heh heh...its kinda a long story one but as I said thats why im here" "*because no one wants me anywhere else*" he mumbled under his breath.

 

"Hm..." Riley was so lost on what to do with this type of situation. "Well... at least your okay..." She jumped a little in place to get the heat going so she wouldn't freeze to death while standing.

 

"well good night you two" he said half smiling
