Winter time

Riley shuffled along the side walk while listening to Brad. She really didn't have an exciting life like that. She looked at Brad. "New Zealand, huh? That's an interesting place." She grinned. "What's it like there?" Dwelling on negative stuff always brings someone down. Riley knew that...

 

"umm...well my parents didnt want me to mess up my life so i was shipped over here to live with my cousin and straighten things out in my life. They said they wanted me to find myself, I just didnt want to accept my parents strange methods. but enough depressing stuff... what is your life like?"

 

Riley inwardly smirked and looked back ahead of them. He wanted to keep on the other subject... "Not really close to that." She stuffed her hands in her pockets. "Just the quiet life." She gently kicked a piece of ice on the side walk and watched it slide. "So Brad... what do you like to do?" She really didn't know how to respond to what he told her. It was like her mind drew a blank.

 

"well I play the drums and was in a band before I moved here. some guitar too and most of all I am contempt just being around people. but no extreme stuff since I have no depth perception. what do you like?"

 

Riley nodded her head slowly. "Ah, I see. I play the piano... write a few stories, the boring stuff." She laughed quietly. She saw her house come into view, but still kept the smile on her face. She turned to Brad. "Well, this is my stop. Guess I'll see you around the neighborhood, mall, stuff like that." She shrugged her shoulders and walked up to her front door. "See you around, Brad! It was nice talking with you."

 

"It was nice meeting you too and those things arent boring they require a lot more talent. and by the way... thanks for talking to me... your the first person who actually talked to me and didnt just try to walk away. thank you" He kept walking down the street.

 

Riley turned, watching Brad disappear. She smiled. "No problem," she said quietly. She then turned back and opened the door to her house, slipping inside. She shut it quietly behind her and then kicked off her shoes. She had a good view of the living room from where she was standing. Her mom was asleep on the couch. She quietly sighed out in relief. Thank goodnes...
She turned to the stairs and trotted up them as quietly as possible to her room.

 

Brad slowly walked down the snowy streets and his thoughts racing...he was thinking about the fight
"I...I cant feel...I cant feel my leg..."
"You will never speak that way about her again!"
the hospital... I had forgotten about the hospital....
"I think it would be best for you and Chad if you left for a while"
"Dad, you cant be serious!"
the look on Chads face...
"Ill never forgive you"
"you wont have to"

Brad was brought back to reality as a car bellowed its horn since he was wandering and stepped into the street

"what should I do about HER?" he mumbled

 

Riley landed on her bed, and let out a quiet sigh. Her dad was at work, her mom was asleep thanks to the medication. She looked up at her ceiling. "Hm... what to do... maybe take a walk around or something..." She chuckled. "Yeah Riley, and freeze to death..."

 

Just bundle yourself up. Riley sighed. "Fine..." She sat up and walked to her closet. She didn't wear her parka to school, because she was so close to the schoolhouse. She just wore a sweater and some warm gloves. She pulled out her jacket and slipped it on. She then pulled on a hat and wrapped a scarf around her neck. nodding in satisfaction, she slipped out of her room and headed back down the stairs.

 

Brad had been walking and feeling different. he decided to not go home and instead go to the park to think. On the way there he shivered at a teenager who looked a lot like Chad. "I...I cant feel....my leg" he shook his head as to wipe the thought from his mind.

 

Talia was done shopping and was walking home. She decided to walk through the park to get faster there.

 

Riley found herself outside, hands in pocket, and watching her breath in the frosty air. She smiled. Things seemed to be a lot more silent in the snow. She listened to the ice crunch under her feet on the side walk. "So... where to go..." she asked herself. "Maybe I'll head down to a shope and treat me to some hot coco." She smiled. "Sounds like a plan..." She looked up at the clouded sky. I hope it snows some more....

 

Brad sat on a bench with his head in his hands. thinking... not wanting to go back home. Ill just walk around town I guess.

 

Riley looked at most of the houses while passing. The Christmas lights weren't on yet, but she could see some of the decorations. They were cute. Then something caught her attention. Whistling? She looked ahead of her. She could hear it, but she couldn't see where it was coming from.

 

Hannah sniffed at her steaming mug of coffee, as she grinned slyly at Jayden.
"Naturally, since this was your idea, you're paying. And I conveniently forgot my wallet home, so unless you want to wait here 'till I find enough bottles and loose change..." her voice drifted away, and she glanced at the expecting cafeteria worker. Her grin deepened as he started muttering profanity under his breath, while fumbling through his numerous jacket pockets.
"Next time, you pay. Or at least think of a better excuse."
The duo made their way out of the cafeteria full of overly exited students, and began walking slowly to the ice-rink.
"So, you're still planning on staying in town for the holidays?"
"Yeah, I didn't see any point in going to the same place year after year. And after Mira said that she didn't wanna go to the cottage either, I found a perfect excuse for staying; I'm gonna be 'baby-sitting' her the entire break. Meaning, get some Chinese-food every night, and minding my own business, while she does the same thing... You weren't going anywhere either, right?"
"Nope, apart from visiting dad for a week-end or so..."
OOC: Would someone mind bumping in to these two, it gets kinda lonely RPing by myself...

 

Leon walked passed Jayden and Hannah, well it was more like pushing passed them. He wasn't fond of others.
