Winter time

OOC: I have to go, see you guys tomorrow! T^T

 

Brad looked at Mia a little confused "I umm what? you can tell me" he said sincerely.

 

Riley closed her eyes, listening to the melody and seeing the notes of one song. She memorized some of her songs she worked on. She laid her hand on the keys and starts to play a soft melody. It was a tune that was stuck in her head almost all day. The title was called, The Rose.

 

Mia looked down. "I'm pregnant." She whispered. She clasped her hands in front of her. "I'm six months along." She thought fleetingly of her ex boyfriend, what had happened when he had found out, then ignored the memory. She looked up at Brad for a second, smiling. "That's why I'm out here so late."

 

"oh...im not really sure what to say about the pregnancy, but i know that not going home to parents wrath face. ive played it many times before. do you need somewhere to stay till this dispute rolls over?"

 

Mia looked at him, and smiled shyly. "Yeah. Do you know a place?"

 

"well any guy who has a heart would know that they should find some way to help. you can either stay with me, or I can rent you a room at the hotel a few blocks away. My uncle knows the manager so i can use that to get you a room for cheap. and Ill pay the rest. but your choice"

 

"I can pay for myself, it's okay." Mia protested. She thought for a bit. Her feet were killing her, from all the walking. "Which one is closer?" she asked.

 

"my house is 4 houses down this street actually. but I could take the car and drive you to the hotel. and as far as paying for the room, Hector loves me so i can talk to him and get a great price. you have enough to worry about as it is and you dont need to have financial stuff to be on your mind as well."

 

Mia bit her bottom lip. "Which one woul you prefer?" she asked. "I mean, we just met, and I don't want to be a burden...."

 

"well i think you might be more comfortable in a hotel compared to my house personally, and you are no burden at all id feel bad if i didnt help"

 

"Okay...but I am not letting you pay for me." She smiled. "I have enough."

 

"alright then. let me grab the car" Brad ran down the street opened the garage door and got inside a black Convertible. He pulled out of the driveway and stopped on the side of the street near Mia. "Hop in"

 

Mia smiled, slowly and clumsily getting in the car. "Thanks really." She smiled.

BIC: "lets go" he said smiling. He pulled out his cell phone and dailed. "hey Hector! how are ya man havent talked to you in ages...mmhmm ya I need a little favor. a good friend of mine had a parent problem... mmhmm wow you read my mind...no i can pay for it... god man your the best. i wont forget this man. cya in a few minutes." Brad put away his phone. "well i was right Hector gave me a suite and its gratis and he said it was a holiday present for my friend. so i guess we are in luck." Brad said smiling.

 

Riley listened to the words in her head. She was one who didn't really sing around others, and she knew somebody would hear her. But when she got to one part, she quietly sang to the music. "It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking that never takes the chance." Then she fell quiet again when she heard her mom walking a little closer to the living room. She continued to play.

 

Mia shook her head. "I won't let you pay for all this. But thank you." She unwrapped the second chocolate bar, taking a bite. "Cravings are the worst." she smiled.

 

"we will be there in a few minutes. and Hector said the stay is free since he knows my parents so neither of us need to pay anything. and if you need anything elses heres this" Brad hands a piece of paper with his cell phone number on it. "in case you need a ride back from the hotel"
