ok, i know that Windows Movie Maker is crap but i have been using it all this time and pissing me off. but this new issue just CROSSES THE LINE of crappiness. whenever i save my movie file it comes out with just audio, there's no video, just the sound. i made sure it wasn't just my computer as i tried playing it with another computer and got the same results. does anyone know how to fix this?

most decent editors are the same way.
when I was looking at getting Vegas it was really pricey too.

anyway look for a patch or reinstall, that should help.

i dunno, i foudn taht there's a glitch with songs u drag into the program through the desktop. if u don't put it in a folder, for some reason, the song doesn't end where it shoudl and is sometimes stretched out to like 5 minutes. but i can't figure out what the issue is this time.

Interesting, I haven't had this problem before.

What format is the audio, and what format is the video?

It's probably because the video sources are in an .AVI format. If not, then most likely it's because WMM seems to crap out if you try putting a 2 minute-plus song AFTER you put the video clips.

Try reversing the order. Put the music that you're planning on using first while the slate's clear. Then add the video afterwards. Sometimes that helps. :sideways:

Yeah, if the sources are anything like .mp4 or .avi, WMM doesn't recognize it. I think that may be the problem.

Actually WMM will recognize .avi only if you downloaded DivX or some other .avi player first. Unfortunately, doing so causes WMM to freeze up more often. :sideways:

Re-install or convert the song to .wma. It's easier for Microsoft software to use sound/video files that are in Windows formats.

You know, there are other ways to make videos. Try some of them.
