    That's very true.

In the first pokemon game all the towns were named after a color.

Well, the writers shot themselves after season 3, so the company panicked, hired a monkey who writes identical plot lines that are only dissimilar in names, pokemon, and places.

I wonder what would happen if Team Rocket actually did caputure Pikachu and hand it over to Giovani. He would probably get mad because they were wasting time on 1 Pikachu.

Actually, he sent them after Pikachu because it was a meaningless assignment. He knows that their incompetence and Ash's overwhelming luck due to being the main hero of the series means that they'll NEVER capture Pikachu and hold onto it long enough to bring it to him. He also knows that their faulty loyalty to Team Rocket would end up messing up any of the important missions he sends his other goons to do if he decided to give them a real assignment.

In other words, he only sent them after Pikachu to keep them out of the way so he can focus his attentions elsewhere.

I'd like to make one, tiny correction to that statement: Team Rocket (Jessie, James, and Meowth) was more of a threat when they were still in Kanto. As soon as they left, the more thunderbolts they were hit with, the more their IQ and purpose lowered. Now they've been reduced to nothing more than annoying, predictable comic relief.

    They're STILL here?!

Agreed. But it doesn't change the fact that they STILL have a fanbase. :bangbang:

I mean, seriously. Now that they've been demoted to comic relief, there's really nothing interesting about them any more. We already know that Jessie wanted to be a Nurse Joy, James was some rich kid that wanted out of a forced marriage, and Meowth sacrificed his ability to use Pay Day for human speech. (They probably have other stuff from their past that's been showing too, but I haven't been keeping track.) Their roster is always changing (Remember Arbok and Weezing?) and they never bother to catch any new Pokemon themselves. They also are in a definition of "beyond bankruptcy" due to their stupid plans to always "Pika-Proof" their equipment, but always leaving some obvious factor that they could've planned for (water, ice, fire, grass, ground, rock, ghost, psychic, etc.) out of the equation, making their defeat even less satisfactory than the one before it.

The only thing that I like about them these days is that their original voices and characters are immortalized by this epic music video:

    Team Rocket Double Trouble

And let's not forget the fact that Pikachu can't even learn that many good moves in the first place without breeding or TMs (or in this case, training). Pikachu used to be a popular cutie. But now, it's just synonymous with Super Smash Bros...

One last thing, remember all of those Pokemon that Ash released back in the first season? (Butterfree, Primeape, etc.) You'd think that after more than ten seasons they'd have filled those plot holes by now. But, as it were... :nono:

I wouldn't even consider Jessie, James, and Meowth are not comic relief. They do nothing but ruin the TV show even further. Their purpose on the show is pointless.

It would be better if Ash had more rivals and they played a larger part in the series.

Better yet, let's focus on the heroine for once. Why would we want to see Ash collect eight more badges just so he can predictably end up in the top eight at the end of the season?

Ooo, better yet, if he had multiple run-ins with the other stars of the Pokemon series, not just the GBA and DS games! I'd like to see his reaction to the hero from the first Colosseum game, especially if he uses the Snag Ball!

Better yet, they should start a new season with a different main character who actually can win the pokemon league and beat Ash.

Lol, I just had a thought. Watch Ash finally get up to facing the Pokemon League champion, and he finds someone like Misty beating him to it. Their reason: "You took too long, Ash, so I went ahead without you."

That would put the series down the toilet even more. Remember what happened to Yu-Gi-Oh when that happened? When the series got a change of characters such as Jaden etc.

I've stopped watching Yu-Gi-Oh after the season with Dartz, so I have no idea who Jaden is.

You would've had two more story arcs to go through before you got to Jaden (Another one of Kaiba's championships and Dawn of the Duel (Millennium World in the manga). And yeah, out of all the seasons, the 4th season of Yu-Gi-Oh! sucked.

Anyway, back on topic. There's no way for Ash to become a Pokemon master due to the fact that NO ONE is a master in the first place. I mean, what exactly IS a Pokemon Master? Someone who captures one of every Pokemon? Wins every championship they enter? Excels both in contests and breeding? Beats every single opponent hands down?

I mean, if that was the case, then Ash might as well count all the grains in the sand or drink the entire ocean, because that goal is impossible for ANYONE to achieve. Ash is chasing an impossible dream and he's really gotta start learning from his mistakes instead of repeating them once every ten episodes.

I think I've said this, Ash should give up his dream it's impossible and the odds are too high to ever be a Pokemon Champion.

The best I think Ash will ever get is second place.
