Will the Kingdom hearts series become the New final Fantasy?

It could be... but it has more of a storyline that expands as the series progresses. If they DO make it into Final Fantasy... hrm, they gotta change the director after a few more Kingdom Hearts games come out because, Nomura would be too old by then. xD

well. There's enough fans for it to happen. That's for sure. But then who gets the bigger budgets? What if KH does pass FF? It's just too hard to tell now. But with the way it's going it seems they'll have a lot of KH games. I mean there is so much Disney and FF they could go forever.

 

FORGIVE MY OPINION BUT-
FF "adult"? Oh please, its Teen at best (except for FFXII, which is probably the most adult one they had and that's only from the sheer web of politics and WORLD it strung together that had to be comprehended).

Because really, until I start seeing elaborated brutality or villians with REAL/MORE DEVIOUS or at least a more insidious way of achieving their goals, FF is TEEN. :\

As for being on TOPIC:
KH could be very much like a MINI FF series. And they COULD push KH to T and still maintain all of their appeal, because really, what drags in the children is both/either the Disney and/or the SE. And in terms of the "Less SE people" well that somewhat defeats the CAMEO half of their (SE's) part of the collaboration, so that would be meaningless.

A lot, they just need to be CREATIVE. They could easily spend an entire game just talking about the villians (original villians, not the cameos)- such as the Heartless and whatnot. So in a way it is rhetorical to ask that question. (I do not mean this in a belittling way believe it or not.)

Also the franchise is called "Kingdom Hearts" not "Sora's Journey/Quest/synonym-of-that-word to Kingdom Hearts". ....So, yes, give a company or story-teller enough motivation and a story can just keep on going.....

Besides I'm sure Normura can put out more ideas to connect to KH, he is the creator of it after all, and if he can't he has a HUGE staff to help him achieve it. :\

 

Maybe.... but they would have to be very creative, think of ways to connect the disney worlds to the story more and to make them less annoying. Not to mention FF has no continuing story line(except X and X-2), while KH does, meaning the way they contine the story will play a big part of them acctualy getting to that many games out.
Also with all the different games on differnt platforms from FF and how long/far the name has come I'm not sure if any game could be as big. Kh may get somewhat close but I dunno.

 

I feel that one of the reasons KH is so successful is that it's a successful cross over. Think about it. All of Disney's crossovers were crap. All of Sqaure's crossovers weren't that good either. But it was awesome to see Squall and Cloud fight side by side. In a way, some people probably dreamed of that. KH made it possible because it's the closest thing we got to an awesome cross over

 

Between the crossover factor, new disney movies, new final fantasy characters, AND the fact that they keep on letting out little hints about a LOT of the characters already there that they could easily give a ton more background/history on, I'd be surprised if Kingdom Hearts DIDN'T turn into the next final fantasy--especially with an organization of thirteen nobodies, only one of whose 'somebody' you actually know about. And what if they decide to go back in time, and fill in gaps, or follow up on other people? What if they keep going back further to what was happening in the other worlds when Sora, Kairi, and Riku were two?

And what about in between? all of THAT?

the list goes on.

there is more than enough plotline and potential to work with.

 

Thet're still going to continue the franchise, or at least the spin off. I wouldn't mind seeing the others of Organization XIII. They could provide background to the histories of some of our favorite Final Fantasy characters. Axel's other could have been Reno's twin! *nose bleeds from fangirlness thought*

 

i agree! final fantasy crystal chronicals *gag* lame!!! and yes Kingdom hearts IS! the best cross over..and they could start to make a new story line or new story lines that are sorta related to Sora's story (KH 3 chasers) as along in the end its about kingdom hearts and has a keyblade master as the main character its all good to me

 

Please refer to the "Birth By Sleep" video, even if the game is claimed to be a spinoff, they have PLENTY to work with there.

As for the Disney Worlds....well of course they could be more creative!

And the point of comparing it to FF is not that they will be SIMILIAR in story execution, but FRANCHISE execution (aka long). Not to mention in every SINGLE FF there are certain aspects that are forever with us...they simply have made the recurring mascots the main focus this time. :\

Also, PSHAW. Any company worth its name can replicate success if not in greater numbers. (*COUGH* EVEN IF IT HAS TO FUSE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY *COUGHCOUGH*) :\

 

I dont think they can go 12 different games for KH. I think that would be a little to much...

 

They have a garunteed FOUR OUT..... (Five if you count the next spinoff game)

But technically if you count it by GAME RELEASED....

That is techincally SEVEN games...I do believe that is more than half-way......
(If you decide to disregard the Final Mix games, you still have FIVE games out!)

Yes, but I dont they can pull it off like they pulled of FF.

 

They swapped "Producers" for the stories at around the half-way point, and swapped yet again for FF XII.....bank's the limit on this one.....

 

Well, time will tell, that "birth by sleep" thing could suck. Although they do have plenty to work with with it.

Alright, but think how many FF games there are, ther is up to 12, coming out with 13, there is the spin offs and realy old ones that where named not numbered, plus the sucky online one :| I dunno if KH will go that far with so many games FF has (plus new ones coming in the future)

The final Mixes are cool, but I could deal with out them. Just stick to the orgnial, COM, and Kh2

but...theres a whole bunch of storys untold in the what im calling "The Kingdom Hearts Chronicals" like birth by sleep and a whole bunch of plot "holes" that no doubt will be filled and heck who knows what there working on anyway
i say we get a spy inside the Kingdom hearts building to leak us info that doesnt ruin the story but give us tid-bits to keep us guessing! (kinda like the pre-KH 2 final mix + days) every day a new post about pics of the game! and dang! was i happy to see the"Birth by Sleep" it was amazing there are so many things that can be done in Kingdom Hearts so i think we havent seen anything yet

I made a post about that earlier...refer to that. (they have techically made Four UNIQUE games + the upcoming one...so that's FIVE.)

Why not? Techincally Chain of Memories is a spinoff, yet it was enjoyable. (At least in my opinion.)

Well.....the remake of CoM was worth it in my opinion....

But the Final Mixes...true we could do without them...but the last final mix had so many "necessary" extras (cough cough additional org cutscenes that ARE story related) that I wonder why they didn't just include them in the FIRST package.
