WiiU Won't be Backwards compatible with the Gamecube

    Awww man.... that kinda sucks. I still have a bunch of really great Gamecube games from a long time ago that are still fun to play :( It's not a surprise though, I figured this would happen eventually...

    But I'm not getting a Wii U anyway. I think it's a step backwards for Nintendo, who hasn't been impressive recently anyway.

    Same here. I never use my Wii anymore, anyway. I got SSBB the dayit came out and didn't stop playing until I unlocked pretty much everything and got my ass handed to me online.

    The hardware is alright, the look not so much. Until I see some games and a price, i'm not a lover or a hater.
    Meh, gamecube games are not relevant in todays gaming market so there's no point putting extra hardware on a WU for a defunct market. Not to mention it wouldv'e raised its price.

    Good point. It may take a while for the exact price tag to be revealed but I wanna see if they're gonna be reasonable about it.

    Agreed. The GC has been dead for quite a while. Hell, I never owned one though I went out looking for a few games and a controller once, just to try it out on my Wii...
