Finally bought myself a Wii the other day. Just wondering if people had any suggestions for games I could get. I like RPGs mainly but I'll keep an open mind to suggestions. Just as long as it's not Silent Hill or Resident Evil, suggest away.

Games I have Bought or are planning to get:
    - Mario Kart (came with the Wii)
    - Wii Sports Resort (getting it from a friend)
    - Monster Hunter Tri (buying it next week)
    - Zelda: Twilight Princess (getting it from a friend)
    - Rune Factory Frontier (getting it from a friend)
    - Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility (getting it from a friend)

    Games People Have Suggested:
    -Super Smash Bros Brawl
    -No More Heroes
    -No More Heroes 2
    -Metroid Prime 3
    -Kirby's Epic Yarn
    -Super Mario Galaxy
    -Super Mario Galaxy 2
    -Super Paper Mario
    -New Super Mario Bros. Wii
    -Sin and Punishment
    -Muramasa
    -Okami
    -Epic Mickey
    -Little King's Story
-Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
    -Metroid Prime Trilogy

Mario Kart is a good time waster, but it can get boring when you have all the tracks and stuff. I would definately recommend Twilight Princess. I would finish it, but I just hate playing the Wii. 1) because it's in an open area and I like playing alone and in silence. 2) I'm just not too much of a Wii person in general. I never even got past like the 5th boss or something because I accidently erased my file.

Super Smash Bros Brawl is a good game if you like simpler fighters. I also hear the Fire Emblem games for the Wii are pretty good as well. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are both awesome games, so I would definitely take those two into consideration.

Silent Hill Origins and Resident Evil 4.

But seriously, if you have some friends to play with, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Wario Ware Smooth Moves are pretty fun to play.
    Otherwise there are:

    No More Heroes
    No More Heroes 2
    Metroid Prime 3
    Kirby's Epic Yarn
    Super Mario Galaxy
    Super Mario Galaxy 2
    Super Paper Mario
    New Super Mario Bros. Wii
    Sin and Punishment
    Muramasa
    Okami
    Epic Mickey

Those are some good ones to start with, most of those being Wii-only games. Then there's whatever classic NES/SNES/Genesis/etc games you might want with the Virtual Console. Although since you already have Monster Hunster Tri, I'm sure you'll be busy enough as it is with that.

My first thought was Monster Hunter Tri, but it seems like you already have that on the list. I'll make a bold statement and say your library will never be complete unless you get Super Mario Galaxy 2. It's without a doubt, the best Wii game available. It also ranks up there with one of the best games I've ever played. Super Smash Brothers Brawl is also an amazing game. Great to play with your friends, and even has a decent online mode. New Super Mario Brothers Wii is a great one too, good multiplayer game, and you'll love it if you are a fan of the old super mario brothers games. As far as RPGS go, the best ones on the market are Little King's Story, Super Paper Mario, and Rune Factory: Frontier.

    Other great games are:
    Okami
Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
    Epic Mickey
    Metroid Prime Trilogy
    Muramasa

You could also go the throwback way and get Chrono Trigger on the Wii Store. Hands down the greatest RPG of all time.

    It was decent at best.

Well, there's one, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. I'm not sure if there's others.

You could try Star Wars Force Unleashed, but I would only recommend it if you really like Star Wars, because it's exactly as the PS2 version, and they're both horribly nothing like the PS3 version.

Super smash bros. That is final. Every Wii owner should own one, or at least did. Its is addicting and fun. Enough said.

well, the Wii version has a 2 player versus mode which is amusing and the wii version also has stages not found in the PS3 version i believe.

    also, my recommendations:

these are mostly multiplayer games so i wouldn't recommend most of them unless you had people to play with
    Wii Party
    Mario Party 8
    Cooking Mama: Cookoff
    Soul Calibur Legends
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (i know you said not this, but it's an arcade style rail shooter game so you might like it)
    New Super Mario Bros.
    Super Smash Bros. Brawl
    Donkey Kong Country Returns

Yeah, but my friend said it was on a tiny platform and you could easily fall off, and they both have the same maps because the PS2 and Wii are exactly the same version. I don't know about the DS, but the PS3 is different from the 2. Because in the Wii and PS2 version you fight a few times in the Jedi Acadamy for training. But they take out a few maps as well,
like fighting on the Ship after Darth Vader "kills" you

Since everyone else pretty much has everything I've played covered I suggest looking at Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes. It's on PS3 and Wii but there's no difference between the two games I'm told. I'm not sure how true this it.
