358/2 Days Why the "/2"?

It's pronounced "Kingdom Hearts 3 5 8 over 2 Days" in English. "Over" as in a fraction. At the end of Days, it shows clips of 2 of the days Roxas spent without his org.13 memories in Twilight Town.

 

I personally always thought of it as that there were 358 days, and then half of a day durring the game... but seeing all the above arguments I am pretty sure that I am wrong.

 

Well, since it is not reveled the why, then I believe each of us can have our own suggestion about it. And the far I know, it can be all of them! All of them makes sense after all.

So if you have a suggestion, please post! I want to hear opinions regard it!

 

I thought it was referencing to the 2 people it involved....maybe Roxas and Xion or...Roxas and Sora? Like they are divided in two or something?

after reading all these post, i'm probably wrong, but i always thought that of it as a division problem.. like you divide 358/2 and the result is how many days you actually played.. i think i'm completely wrong though now that i actually think about it. ^^"

really? I'm English and I've always pronounced it 358 'slash' 2 days

 

358 = Days in the Organization collecting hearts

2 = number of members that were able to actually collect hearts

358days collecting hearts over 2 people.

 

I think the /2 means the extra days Roxas spent when he got out of the organization because in the last 2 cut scenes of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days, he wasn't with the organization anymore, so it's possible that the 358 means the amount of days he's spent with the Organization and the /2 means the amount of days he didn't spend with the organization. Get it now?

 

I'd agree 100% with that. 358 Days OVER two. so DIVIDED by two.
the 358 Days have been divided by two people.

Honestly I'm not sure if that's Roxas and Xion or Roxas and Axel, but I'd be more persuaded to believe Roxas and Sora.
It's the both of them experiencing the 358 days. 358 Days as two people. As we see in KHII, Sora cries over the friends Roxas had. so it'd make sense.

Haha weirdly though I actually pronounce it as 'Slash 2' but I still believe it's meant to be 'Over two'.

 

Nomura did say in an interview that we should read "over two" as the game was about 2 people. I've always thought that was about Roxas and Xion, but as she hasn't alive all these days (or maybe she was but, she didn't pop up until that day) so maybe is Roxas & Axel, I would like that as their relation is older and the one that survive etc...


THinking over again it is probably Roxas and Xion, as when you beat the game you gain access to her Journal of her 358 days.

 

Yes, it's those days of heart-collecting over 2 people collecting hearts! pretty simple. you guys are making crazy assumptions and complicating things. when its actually something very simple.

A lot of the days in the game were skipped. I didn't count, and I don't care to do the research, but maybe there are 179 playable days.

 

This might actually be right lol. The title would've been a lot clearer if it had been written as 358 Days/2.

 

From what I heard in the commercials, it's pronounced 358 days over two. I always thought it meant it was shared between

I'm think the /2 was for the days to be divided between Roxas and Xion since after all many days were skipped when you played the game. Never actually counted how many you play though.

 

"Over" is the same thing as "divided by" in math.
1/4 is equivalent to .25, because 1 divided by 4 = .25
