If you want the next game I'd advice you stop right now. I'm going to import though I feel sorry for the people that aren't allowed to buy it because they don't have a Credit Card or their parents won't let them shop online.

Well,i didn't really have a problem about this fact.Actually i'm one of the people who think that this game isn't THAT different from kh2 so it's a total waste of money for me...

I remember on another forum, someone sent a mail to SE about the FinalMix release in NA/Europe and received a reply. While I don't have the reply with me - and certainly can't be arsed to find it - I remember it stating quite clearly that, they WEREN'T going to release it outside JApan.

    And there you have it.

C'mon guys, it's not that bad. We're just missing out on a few cutscenes which can be seen on this site *anyway* and some few add-ons. As for Re:CoM, it's exactly the same thing as the GBA version but with better eyecandy.

It could've been worse. We could've been missing out entirely on a whole installment. :|

If Square-Enix and Disney would actually be stupid enough to make it so we missed out on an installment of Kingdom Hearts, I'm sure mostly EVERYBODY would lose ALL respect for them!

They don't say that, they say something like there a no plans to release a Final Mix+ version at the moment, not to say it will never happen, they did it for the Final Fantasy VII Remake aswell.

    I was joking aswell.

You're kidding, right? Here, take a look at these pretty additions.

    Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix

    - 7+ New Boss Battles ("Organization XIII" Members & "Enigmatic Soldier")
    - 10+ New Cutscenes
    - 2 Additional Sidequests ("Organization XIII Mushrooms" & "Piece Collection" Mode)
    - Theatre Mode (Rewatch Cutscenes in Japanese/English)
    - Additional Difficulty Level ("Critical")
    - Redesigned navigation maps
    - New Explorable Areas ("Cave of Remembrance" & "Garden of Assemblage")
    - New & Reworked Enemies (Statistic & Colour Changes)
    - New Drive Form ("Limit Form")
    - New Drive Gauge Limit (Increased to 9)
    - New Abilities
    - New Synthesis Items
    - New Accessories
    - New Weapons (e.g. "Acrossing Two" & "Proof of Victory" Keyblades)
    - New Character Costumes

    Kingdom Hearts: RE:Chain of Memories

    - Complete Remake with 3D Graphics
    - Many New Cutscenes (Inc. Japanese Voice Acting)
    - Additional Dialogue (Differences from Original Storyline)
    - Theatre Mode (Rewatch Cutscenes in Japanese)
    - New Boss Battle (Zexion)
    - New Abilities
    - Reaction Commands Included
    - Includes "Reverse/Rebirth"

So as for the "just a few cutscenes", and "better eye candy", I honestly don't mean to be rude, but you are sadly mistaken. Those two lists of things would GREATLY add to the experience of both games.

It's bloody September and they still have no plans. Final Mix+ was out in Japan around spring I believe. Not to mention the PS2 is a dying-console now and we should be thinking about next-gen. What are the liklihoods of it coming out in NA then? Think about it, during all this gaptime when they could've been workig on the NA release, they state that there STILL are NO plans meaning no work whatsoever has been done, let alone consideration. And just for emphasis, I'll state again that the PS2 is a dying console. Yeah in all, this can pretty much be interpreated to = not going to come out in NA. That's how I read it.

What? There is no Fiinal Fantasy VII remake. Yet, probably. And even if a remake was in the works, that will certainly be for the PS3. But for FinalMix+, I very well doubt SE will serve the outsiders better with a Final Mix+, (a game that doesn't really continue/contribute to the KH story) adapted for the PS3.

To the experience, but not technically to the story.

Yeah I was admittedly mistaken on the content in the new releases. I'll be honest and say I wasn't aware of most of what you listed - all I knew was that there were new stuff. But that wasn't my point.

What I was trying to say is, it's not a new installment and just "Remixes"of what we already know. A bit like fodder really. There probably are some minor changes to the storyline but obviously nothing completely drastic that changes from the original. It's not so dramatic if we miss out on something which will help relive our favorite game, than it is to miss out on a whole continuation. Chin up, guys.

I understand what your saying to the post above..
but isnt it considered an installment when theres new cutscenes explaining alot more of the story then what we know? i know its not a new game but its a final mix, meaning things that you wished for in KH2 are now put into FM+.

Now i've got FM+ and lemme tell ya it makes the original look like a babies toy..
What makes kingdom hearts so great is the game play and storyline so for me this is more then a remix, its +100% storyline +1000% gameplay!
Try it out for yourselves and you'll see what i mean..

As for the PS3 thing i would have to say thats true, final mix is the last Kingdom Hearts game for the PS2 so better start saving heh.

    Peace

"Explaining a lot more of the story" meaning "putting more detail in the story that we already know"? If so then no. (and if it isn't the case...then that's mean on SE's part. D:<! It sounds really unlikely they'd go as far as to do that though.)

The things we wished for/new stuff is the fodder that's fed to the game. And as long as the fodder for the story does not DRASTICALLY change it/add too much new info to the point we, as the outsiders, are missing out on a heavy load of vital info, no, I can't really call it an installment. Like the title suggest, they are merely just Remixes. My definition of installment is basically like an Episode; you don't expect the following episode of your favorite TV show to be a repeat of the previous but with added screen time and longer dialogues with certain actors.

Well, that's nice to know that it's more enjoyable than KH2. Alas, I'll never experience it.

That would be a directors cut.. which is pretty much final mix, what ur saying is right but what i mean is game wise FM+ is a new installment and as for story wise its not really.. as for SE being mean i know quite a few games that japan got the better of.
anywayz with the sneak peak of CoMII/KH0 this is pretty much yesterdays news to quite a few of us now...
