I agree with the Kairi and Riku thing but not so much with Riku part. Think about it. RIku is bound to remember Sora before Kairi. If we are right, Kairi was the last to remember him. I think Oathkeeper represents the connection between her heart and Sora's. And Oblivion is represented by still not sure yet...I might as well go with the Riku part still...

Riku never forgot him. He was in castle oblivion during the whole memory crazed thing. And like Him Donald Goofy and Mickey they still kept there memory. It didn't effect him.

Anyway Im pretty sure Roxas will have a 'drive' of some sort that will let him Duel weild.

Oathkeeper kind of represents the promise to return to Kairi after having to leave again,as for Oblivion,I think it means that he has to find Riku before he ca ntruly return home,it serves as a reminder I think.

Yea it was just a nice symbolic add on Nomura wanted to include I think. They could symbolize darkness and light or Riku and Kairi's connection to Sora, however you want to look at it.

    o_o wow.

It's because of his connections with Kairi and Riku, why do you think Riku got to weild Oblivion?

Good theory. I always thought they just represented light and darkness.

I think your thought about the Oathkeeper is right, but I have a diffrent thought about Oblivion. I think he weilds it to show that he has some sort of connection with Riku. Just a thought.

That could be true, I always thought it was to represent the Darkness and Light IN Sora´s heart. But now that you mention that it´s a very good posiblity.

That's actually not a bad theory. I just thought Roxas dual wielded because of dark and light. He represented the dark, while Sora represented Light. XD

    This theory is actually correct.
Oathkeeper is for the memories of Kairi.
    Oblivion for memories of Riku.

This thread to me is old news, this theory was made a long time ago and confirmed by Enix. Not a bad shot at it though.

Maybe but i agree with Hexin that roxas duel weilded because of dark and light. He represented the dark, while Sora represented Light.
Thats what i think at least.

Roxas dual wields Oblivion and Oathkeeper because of Sora's memories of Riku and the memory of Kairi's oath (promise).

Thats another theory that i think it might be right but we will never really know , maybe it was random and not because of any thing, or maybe of his memories or because of his past and future or his dark side and good side but the most ones i believe are this one and because of his dark and good side.

No, that isn't a theory. Nomura said so in one of his interviews. Oblivion represents the connection to Riku while Oathkeeper represents Kairi. There really is no mystery about this. I'm confused why people keep saying it's a 'mystery'. When Nomura says it himself, it's canon and pretty much the debate is over.

Yeah that's probably true. I never really put much thought into it but yeah I basically thougth of it as light and dark.

    WRONG

he weilds them because there refrerences to soras friends. Now remember how you get oblivion after talking iwth riku and after you fight him in KHI. and you get Oathkeeper because in KHI You talk to kairi and she gives you it. any questions?
