Roxas wields these two keyblades because the Oathkeeper repesents Kairi and the Oblivon, Riku.

And speaking of the Oblivion representing Riku, do you notice when it's Roxas vs Riku that Roxas throws Oblivion and Riku catches it as they meet halfway when running up/down the skyscraper? I think that Nomura did thta purposly.

You're only half right. The Oathkeeper represents the light, Kairi. The Oblivion represents the dark, not exactly Riku.

Because Roxas was light and dark, that made him...as we commonly know as "twilight".

Well, I always figured that Oblivion represented how he forgot about who he was (because oblivion means the condition or state of being forgotten), but Oathkeeper represents the part of him that reminds him of somethings (Namine. After all, they were both created together).

That's what I think, at any rate. It's not what you'd call a solid theory, but I'm still working on it.

    nice theory.

i read on wiki that those are the two because Oathkeeper represents kairi and oblivion represents riku. it also represents light and darkness.

    oh well, same thing.

Interesting theory, my theory is that Roxas' sheer will was what influenced the Keyblade he had to bare two Keyblades. As "Ansem" said in Kingdom Hearts was that the Keyblade is made by the strength of one's heart; since the Heart is affected by Spirit Roxas spirit even though not bearing a heart was able to create two Keyblades.

Not going to bother reading all the posts but....
Yeah. While this is common sense, you still got it wrong.
The Oathkeeper is sto symbolize his/Sora's connection to Kairi
while the Oblivion is to symboliize the connection with Riku.
Nomura even said this before in an interview way before KH2 even came out and Roxas was still being called the BHK

    EDIT:
No, you're wrong. The Oblivion specifically represents Riku. Nomura has confirmed this. and the Oblivion was originally going to be called 'Riku's Keyblade' but they scrapped the name because it sounded lame and people might get confused by the fact that Riku never actually had that keyblade. But yeah. I suppose the 'dual' meaning is that they represent light and dark, but furthermost it is supposed to represent Kairi and Riku.

umm.... people that make story lines for games in details like that dont think of it so much here is the answer; oblivion is darkness oathkeeper is light light and dark make twilight and nobodys are twilight and since roxas is the only keyblade wielder and a key character he has light and dark. well thats what I think and its probably right believe me dont think of these things too much just stick to the first thing you think of

I'm ****ing serious. If you can't pull out an interview or anything with Nomura saying, "Oblivion specifically symbolises Riku", then it's not a fact but only a theory. So, pull it out.

  14. Goodness o.O, I'll do it for him/her, perhaps he/she doesn't know where to find it:

    KH2/KH: CoM - Famitsu #1

Check around the bold parts where it says "Secrets Of The Keyblades". There are other Nomura interviews there as well, so it might be worth a look if you're interested, and that goes for anyone.

i think it has something to do with ven, since vens keyblade is completly black, and oath keeper has something to do with his light, and oblivion has something to do with his darkness

well i didnt either untill i noticed that he has a completly black keyblade, and his shirt resembles his keyblades, one side of his shirt is dark and the other side is light, just like roxas's keyblades

I always thought that Roxas had them since he was a part of sora and sora had the keyblades.
