Kingdom Hearts II Why not Mickey?

Again, who was playing who? Namine was only putting Sora's memories back to its original state. All DiZ did was kidnap Roxas and prevent the Organization from getting their Keyblade master back. I don't remember DiZ messing around with Sora's memories at all.

And you avoided my question. Since Mickey sent Sora to Yen Sid, is he as responsible for going after the Organization as Sora is?

 

I watch the video again, Yen Sid never said, "The Org is Evil"

In fact, he said that Org XIII is capable of advanced thoughts, and plans, but no one knows what the thier "Goal" is.

So, Yen Sid isn't anti-Org, Mickey isn't anti Org.

Also, DiZ went off on a rant on how sure he was that Org XIII would be defeated by Sora... which leads me to believe that he "programmed" Sora to hate Org XIII.

Namine did return his memories to original. But I do believe DiZ, having that much power over Sora, would probably imprint something that would lead to his bias against Org XIII, otherwise Sora is just plain illogical in his systematic destruction of the Org.

Org XIII, knew that ignoring Mickey and Riku would not cause a threat to be made.

 

In all honesty, I'm not entirely sure the Org knew that Ansem was still alive after he was banished. In CoM, the closest they came was 'there's another scent in the castle', but I don't think any of them ever addressed the fact that it could've been him. As for II, no addressing him whatsoever, at least as far as I've seen, until Ansem tried to blow up KH.

As for Mickey, the Org probably kept tabs, but since they figured Ansem was dead, they thought it was a lost cause and left him on his merry way.

 

Okay, if that's true, then...

All DiZ did was monitor Sora's progress and keep Roxas from ever returning to the real world. Unless you have evidence to back up that claim, I'm afraid all that you just said was speculation.

They didn't bother with them because they were hard to track. However, Riku was there to lead Sora around in the right direction while Mickey miraculously comes in to save Sora when he needs it. If their actions didn't count as interfering with the Org's plans...

And I agree with darkcloud. They probably still kept looking for Mickey, but focused all their attention on Sora.

I believe Ansem also said stuff about him being convinced Sora would act exactly how he would want him to, but that he was wrong and said that the heart was beyond his understanding. So I think this backs up your idea.

 

You mean this:

He was talking about the inhabitants of the data Twilight Town, not Sora.

And before the DiZ gave his bias onto Sora argument comes up, the quote above says that once Sora was an acting force, all of DiZ's plans fell apart. In other words, Sora wouldn't act the way DiZ planned. Hence, DiZ couldn't control Sora.

 

Ansem: The process of encoding hearts is incalculable. The inhabitants of my Twilight Town were data created from real hearts. I was convinced that they would think and behave the way I had envisioned...but I couldn't have been more wrong. A heart is so much more than any system. I saw it wen Roxas and Kairi crossed paths. While I was trying to bring Sora back, I had so many plans in store. But once Sora was an acting force, they fell apart. All my research amounted to nothing compared with that one boy's heart.

Ok... that entire rant is about Sora.

He admits he did try to control SORA!!! He admits that he had plans for Sora! But Sora's heart was too complicate.

Sorry for the thread jacking I caused... this is my battle, so it should be faught in my battle field.

 

Finally some sense! I was beginning to wonder if you remembered this was about Mickey and not Sora. Of course, I'm partly to blame too for trying to defend Sora through Mickey.

But all in all, the Organization was trying to keep tabs on Mickey but due to his uber-stealth abilities and not directly interfering, they decided to turn their focus on the Keyblade bearer that was actually an easy target.

 

because if they went after mickey, he would kick all their asses and then Sora would have no bosses to fight and then there would be no kh2, BBS, 358/2 Days or even Coded. As you can see, Nomura dodged a huge bullet by making mickey more of a "behind the scenes" character.
